I never really liked this to begin with, and thought how dated it would look in several years once anyone at home could make it. It's got to be the most outdated yet famous-so-it's-still-cool pictures ever :) (I'm referring to the Boston Globe article by the way.) |

No it's not, It's one of my favorite, I think that it is really creative. |

The next Microsoft Windows will feature a tool to create something like the cover the Miracle, think about it, the cover is from 1988/89! |
dragonzflame 23.07.2005 18:47 |
I like it. Doesn't the fact that it was made in 1988 make it cool, especially since it's taken till now to be able to do it yourself? |
deleted user 23.07.2005 20:12 |
i can understand why people would consider it bad now, but in 1988, it was one of the most advanced/complicated computer technologies around |

I still have a Queen t-shirt with the Miracle cover on the front and the title printed on the back. I used to wear it all the time. It was pretty fascinating to see how they drafted the Miracle cover on the Greatest Hits II DVD. |

It's one of my favourites. I have a thing for "Album Art" and it is a "Thumbs Up" Idea. And by the way I know this is early ROGER, but HAPPY, HAPPY, BITHDAY BABY! Oh, yeah and HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIAN too! Have any of you been to BRIAN's web and seen his graduation pictures? Wow! what a fucking accompolishment that man has made. I wish I was you Bri, baby. Who loves Ya!? QUEENETTE These are the days of our lives, yeah! |
NOTWMEDDLE 24.07.2005 01:32 |
The cover to The Miracle is kick ass! All of Queen's covers are good in their own sort of way. All printed papers can go eat shit! |

It's not my favorite and I can see how it could be kind of creepy to come across if you're not a fan, but I like the idea it represented, of the four of them coming together as a single unit. It's powerful and it was ahead of its time, like Roger's always saying about something or other (like he said about John's cowboy hat in The Invisible Man video!). |

The image of the four personalities melded into a singular being has always been, for me, the very definition of Queen's music. What would 'One Vision' have been without Freddie's new lyrics over Roger's tune, or Another One Bites the Dust without Brian's guitar solo. They (Queen) always seemed to accomplish so much more when working together on a project than operating independently. They were a team, a singular unit. This image, in my opinion, represents not just the the teamwork of the greatest rock band in the world, but the very symbiosis they shared. Maybe non-Queen fans don't get it, but then... does that really matter? |

The Miracle is one of the best original album covers Queen had, certainly not a bad one. |

I don't like that cover either. My favorite covers are from Iron Maiden albums. I usually find Queen covers their most weack aspect of their marketing! It just doesn't work. Take care |

Take careNot all. Queen II/NOTW/ANATO/ADATR/ are all classic album covers imho. AKOM and Innuendo are good covers. There is nothing "bad" about Queen 1/SHA/Jazz. The Game/Works are simple. The only 2 I don't care for are Hot Space/Miracle. (I'm not a fan of Live Magic's cover either). |

I actually really like the Jazz album cover. I got it when I was 6 years old on vinyl, and it was so big and shiny and just sort of mysterious since it doesn't tell you anything about what's on the record. In a way it's sort of like the Dark Side Of The Moon cover to me (though I wouldn't say the Jazz cover is *that* good!). They both seem mysterious and made me want to hear what was actually on the album. |

You look at that cover and you think:" What a great hard rock album this bust be! But when you listen to it, it's pure pop. So, it's obvious that they failled to connect the cover with the music. I don't want to talk about all the albums (you wouldn't read it to, so..) but the Works is a good example for what they could do. They could have put a better/brighter picture of them, like a shot taken from the Radio GaGa video. You know what i mean?- make a connection between their music and their cover, so people could relate to that product. They've done that with Innuendo, and it worked very well! Take care |

I remember an interview (maybe Brian's) telling it was intentional for the new style of Miracle composition. Miracle songs were composed all together from the beginning to the end. Till that album a member came to studio with his whole song and the others attached their parts. |

Jazz - i like (a lot) i think it's simple and stunning, and i also remember the 'inner poster' at the time....i think jazz works, but HS looks out of place in any period... |
