It's the last thing I want. Tribute album for themselves? Stupid and pointless, don't you think? It is acceptable to do such things live (and they doing it great!) but not in the studio.

And maybe a tribute song to the Frederator.
hi, not picking you on suigi but i disagree, i dont think there's anyway rodgers could match mercury so what's the point of rehashing a version that won't be as good as the original keeping in mind you could just whip out the original cd, lp or whatever you listen to and hear the freddie version. an album full of new material sounds really fun. i would prefer it if it was just queen and pr, maybe find a permanent bass player as well because what turns me off from the concerts is all the musicians on stage, it takes away the majestic quality of queen, just 4 people making those stellar sound in concert [5 in the 80's]. i can understand using more musicians for the stage though but if they make an album i hope no session guys are used.
Absolutely no old songs. I think Brian and Roger are well aware that such a move would outrage a good chunk of the fans out there. It would be a complete and utter disgrace to Freddie Mercury. No Queen songs ever need to be re-recorded. I was fairly disappointed that Brian and Roger joined forces with Robbie Williams to re-record "We Are The Champions" - which is a song that was fine, as is (or was) with Freddie's vocals.
A new album including re-recorded old songs would be tacky. If they do such an album, I hope the title is "For the Stepfords".
Yes new songs only please! I can't wait to hear what it might sound like.....all those melodies and riffs that have been going through their heads the last few years...WOW! ....it will be a new frontier for them...very exciting....
Although I would only want songs Paul was good at. He said in Uncut he couldn't sing Slightly Mad and I can think of a few others which wouldn't suit him.
I always wanted that Queen re recorded the entire album "Mr Bad Guy". Ok, I know it's a solo album, so nothing to view with the rest of the band. But when I listened "Made In Heaven" and "Born To Love You"... I'm dreaming...
