For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about as far as the attack goes, it's on the "Where Are The Parents?" thread.
oh for heaven's sake! you're 22 grow up, don't behave like a baby
if you're going because some "nasty man" hurt your feelings then your life is going to get much more of a struggle mate....ffs - you engaged in an argument with the guy....if his first comment hurt, and you felt unable to defend yourself then walk away from the scrap....if you felt able to stand your ground (which you clearly did at the time) then you respnd to the comments...you responded ...and found you were out of your depth....and then decided you couldn't deal with it....honestly - you can't have it both ways...FIGHT or FLIGHT, --- not FIGHT A BIT, then when i'm struggling FLIGHT A LOT
...and b-t-w - i agree with Flash - if you're going don't say "that's it - i'm off!!!" and then sit back and wait for begging requests to stay.....if you really intend to go and decide you're going - do it without fuss and shut the door behind you......quietly...

That was a quick one.
LOL!!!!!!! Don't ya just love it when that happens and then you get to point it out? I think it's so much fun!!
It's like a race to be the first one to point it out.

no you wouldn't be...you'd only have $347:25c
- the 25c is down to one of Holland's mild threats - can't remember under which pseudonym he said it though...probably the one where his "mother" visited us later to "clear things up without his knowledge" ;-)

If he stays, he stays; great. If he doesn't, please don't pull over with all that attention seeking crap. If he goes, he goes...I know I'll be sorry to see the back of him.
yeah but people can just say "goodbye", and go they can even say "goodbye will catch my msn contacts on msn" or "will explain things when we talk next" or even "will email my friends why"
but they don't do they, they hang around - sucking the goodwill juice outta people until we react like this....sorry - i am not apologising for being pissed off with leaving threads
if things are really bad at work and you can't stand it any longer you don't say - "i'm leaving work - next week, and i'll talk to you all about it," - if they're THAT bad you GO!!!! and talk to your friends out of work....

I know exactly what you mean and agree. But I think some people might get the point with simple terms: Seeking attention.
Actually, Brenski, though I somewhat agree with you, I think you used a bad analogy.
I know quite a few people, including my own mother, who were dissatisfied with their jobs, and told their superiors that they were leaving, only to be convinced to stay. Whether it's re-negotiating their situation, getting a raise, or simply securing the fact that they were a valued employee, it does happen in the workplace. Sorry to be nit-picky, but I really felt I should point that out, as I don't see it as a crime to post a goodbye thread. A little bit annoying, repetitive, and often redundant, yes, but c'mon guys, it's not the end of the world.
