That was brilliant Arlene! I agree 100%!! Well done! Have you thought of trying to send this to the Vatican???? Bet they wouldn't reply.... But its like I said in another topic - what they can't possibly understand or fear they try to tear down and destroy......and obviously the Pope hasn't heard the song "God gave Rock and Roll To You". My husband has a copy of the original which was done by a CHRISTIAN evangelist rock group...so raspberries to the pope! |

Just out of interest, I did a Google search on the Vatican and came up with this interesting web site:- link So if its true, I wonder how they can denounce rock and roll when they perpetrated stealing from holocaust victims? |

I am not a catholic and I could not care less about what the Pope has to say but in all fairness: what Cardinal Ratzinger had to say about Rock music was in 1986, I would not call this "recent". A bit of RESEARCH would be GREAT for a journalist. |

The Vatican has a way of rationalizing its own SINS all through history...but also has a way of rationalizing "throwing stones at people when it lives in its own glass house", and "even though it is NOT without sin, "casting the first stone". The Vatican doesn't follow too much of Jesus' teachings does it...especially when it serves the Vatican politically, financially, and with power. In case you didn't know...there have been rumors for decades that The Vatican takes millions of dollars from the International mafia too, because much of the mafia is comprised of "devout" Catholics. So taking money made from spilled blood and sins of the mafia...is ok? |

I too enjoyed your blog Arlene and agree with what you said about the pope. And the bands he singled out as being especially evil? Bulls**t. No offence to anyone who likes the pope but The Beatles are one the most safest (whereas mothers don't always aprove of heavy metal or gothic bands well my mum doesn't !!!) bands ever how can they be satanic? I mean if he said Marilyn Manson or Slipknot, I wouldn't agree that they were satanic but I would see why he thought they were. But getting back to the subject, I really liked your blog and I think you're a very good writer and I certainly don't want to bitch about you or you too delete anything !!! :-) p.s I agree with bellydancer you should send this to the vatican !
