Which of the big hits do you do you think are the least good? Radio Ga Ga and Another one bites the dust are songs I dont like that much. I never listen to them 2 times in a row. Other less good hits are for example Headlong, the Invisible Man, I'm going slightly mad and Miracle.
Do you agree at all?

I think this is where we can easily justify the importance of promo videos.
Now, I can watch the videos of The Miracle, Slightly Mad, Headlong etc all day and every day but without theses images, granted these are not possibly their strongest tracks.
The video for slightly Mad helps bring these hilarious images to mind when you listen to it but would the song be as well respected without this.
I will leave that open to debate.
We Will Rock You. Maybe it's hearing it so many times, but I hate that with every other amazing song the band created, it's their most simplistic that people always seem to remember first.
Queen fans love songs like March Of The Black Queen, but those song are not appreciated by the non Queen fans. I think they've only released songs which are easy to listen.
First of all I don't think that "Headlong", "Miracle" and "Slightly Mad" were big hits. I think we can even say that the last one failed in the charts. It was a 2nd single and it reached only no.22! That's not very well as for a 2nd single from Queen album, don't you think? BTW I think it's one of their finest songs. My vote goes to "A Kind Of Magic".
Oddly enough, Queen always seemed to pick the best singles from their albums. There are, of course, exceptions:
- the edited version of Liar, though I think that was Elektra's fault
- Tie Your Mother Down ('You And I' would've been a better choice)
- Bicycle Race
- Play The Game
- Body Language (duh)
- The Miracle and Scandal
- You Don't Fool Me
what do you think about radio ga ga? I think its a quite boring disco song. Same as whith AOBTD, they both are good hits you can remember, and good songs as singles. But musically they are not so good.
You don't like somebody to love??? I love it!!! It´s also good live.
One great single and a song I never get bored to listen is Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy!!! Mabe the best song by queen! At least it´s one of my favourite queen songs. The live version ( at least Osaka 77 ) is also brilliant!
What do you think about it as a song and as a single release? I remember it didn´t do very vell in the single market, which is kind of odd.

I did for the longest time, but the guitar solo completely redeems it for me. It's one of those tracks that takes a while to grow on you, kind of like how it takes some time to warm up to Hot Space, which this track is reminiscent of.
Teo Torriate would have been a better choice than Good Old fasioned lover boy.
Friends Will Be Friends should have never been a single, it shouldn't even been put on any album or even released.
I'd say Queen is like Led Zeppelin or
Pink Floyd , you should listen to the
whole album to get the full Queen experience. Zeppelin and Pink Floyd were never into singles .In fact I don't think
Led Zeppelin ever released a single in
the U.K. .

I don't think Zep release ANY singles anywhere did they? didn't they take that as a principle?

Indead the first time I heared I'm Going Slightly Mad, I thought like what a boring song. But then I saw it with the clip and I loved it. Same with The Miracle. However Headlong has a weak clip.
I had exactly the opposite experience. I heard both Slightly Mad and The Miracle before watching the videos, and thought what good songs they were. However I am only just starting to like them again, after being put off by watching the videos too much!
On the subject of the topic, I do think that Queen made some mistakes over which songs they released as singles sometimes. However I ususally like songs that were not released as singles more anyway, simply because variety is the spice of life, and some songs you just hear too much! Saying that, there are obviously some songs that you can never get tired of, but I make a point of not listening to BoRhap too much because I don't want to get bored of such a great song!
oberon : Led Zeppelin released singles in
North America . In the U.K. things are
usually a bit different. Case in point:
in the early 1970's T-Rex were the biggest thing since sliced bread in the U.K. ,but
here in North America well let's just say ..not so big .
SORRY I WENT OFF ON A TANGENT THIS IS
SUPPOSED TO BE A SITE ABOUT QUEEN .
Was Body Language released as a single? If it was, then I don't know what's worse for me: Another One Bites The Dust (which I've always said is not my favourite) or Body Language.
