Does any body know what these chaps are fetching at the moment.
I just saw one go on e bay for £2'500 but I have my suspicion to the integrity of this particular sale.
Any one wishing to part with one ?
I think the Burns is generally considered to be better, at least in most ways, but the Guild has some advantages, too. Plus, the Guild is a collector's item now.

Burns better than the Guild??? I played a Guild years ago as they had one of the green ones for sale in one of our local guitar shops. It was superb. The Burns isnt an exact copy but is a lot more popular and alot more available. The Burns is aimed at the lower scale of the market, more affordacle with cheaper materials. But I think the Guyton is generally considered as the best one.
As for questioning the integrity of the sale - why?? If somebody wants to sell it, why cant they? If I had £2500 spare Id have definately bid. I love those guitars. £2500 isnt alot more than the £1750 they cost 10 years ago!
I've played them all....
The Dillion brand copy sucks.
Burns is ok, but I wouldn't own it.
The Guild is far superior, and the Guild is the only one I have every actually seen Brian play on stage....enough said.

Well in the bid history it lept from one buyer offering £1700 with a bid history of 40 positive, to a random bid of £2500 from a bidder with no feedback. That stinks to me ! You would of thought that it would have gone up in £50's or even £100's ?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.............
Any how, for now it's just the Burns for me but the Guild will be mine, 'oh yes, it will be mine'
i just tried my Burns and i'm satisfied with his sound.WIth the vox ampli sounds just like the original
then you just need a good guitarist ;)
A guild must be good (if not better) anyway!
I own a burns and think it's quite OK.
I don't see the diffrence between Burns and Guild , except the knife-edge trem.
I also think that the sound is quite the same as well as the feel of the guitar.
so paying 2000 pounds on a second hand guitar just for the trem system sounds quite stupid to me.
