Does anyone know which individual members actually wrote each song on these last 2 studio records? I know Brian wrote "The Show Must Go On". Freddie Wrote "Delilah".

Well, at least I know some: Brian May wrote I Want It All, Headlong, The Hitman(?), Roger wrote Breakthru, The Invisible Man, Ride the Wild Wind and These Are The Days Of Our Lives (I still don't really believe this one!), Freddie wrote The Miracle, most of Innuendo, I'm Goíng Slightly Mad (?) and he also worked with Brian on "Show Must Go On", Deaky probably wrote My Life Has Been Saved (was only released as a B-side)
why do u figure john and freddie wrote so many songs together as a writing duo and there weren't as many collaborations between other band members? does that make sense?
The Hitman probably was written by Freddie, mostly. As Sebastian says--notice how the song is acylic, which was a Freddie-only characteristic... and it was Fred that wrote the heaviest of their material (Ogre Battle, LMEY)...
Great info :) i was always wondering about these too :) there are some typical ones, where you can guess - like Was It All Worth It, The Miracle, I'm Going Slightly Mad are Freddie's etc. But there are some very interesting revelations too - amazing, that Roger wrote TATDOOL :)
I agree too - My Life Has Been Saved is John's best song ever :)
And indeed - Freddie wrote alot of Queen's heavy material - even in the 80's - eg. Princes of the Universe :)
To be fair, theoretically, a song being acyclic isn't cathegorically Freddie's. Mercury could have arranged the form but not neccesarily created the music or lyrics. In this case he did write the music at least (not the arrangements, but the progressions), but it could have been easily been someone else.
