I play clarinet very well. I also play piano very well. (self taught) I'm trying to learn guitar, but just for fun. I'm not very good at that instrument. Does your voice count as an instrument? Because I sing. |
iGSM 22.12.2004 08:58 |
I play the trumpet. So well that I'm the best there ever was!...er is! No, I play quite well.. haven't played it in a while. I've been playing that guitar of mine. Argh! |
Megamike The GREAT 22.12.2004 09:48 |
you think that's bad Linda, I have been playing the guitar on and off for over 20 years.. and I STILL suck.. I can barely play Tie Your Mother Down, and I don't think that I can play an entire song. I have the LOVE for music, and the desire to play, but I dont think that I am destined to be great.. So, In response to the post, I play the guitar.. sort of.. well.. it plays me.. ;-) |
iGSM 22.12.2004 10:31 |
I can't be bothered learning the guitar via books. I'd rather have someone physically teach me. But I rather quite like playing the trumpet. I can be like the Trumpeter in 'Cake'. |

I play guitar and have been taking lessons for a while but I still suck! I love it though, I want to learn everything about the instrument!!! What you've wrote on other threads about you're guitar playing sounds excellent. I'm sure you don't suck no matter how much you think you do. I think i suck but then again i rarely play the bloody thing anymore. I will start to play more often again soon though. Since i broke my arm in Mrch this year i havn't played it much. I do still play it occasionaly though. |
Bob The Shrek 22.12.2004 20:49 |
Guitar - pretty crap at that. I had a years tuition on the bagpipes when I was younger. |
deleted user 22.12.2004 20:51 |
Sorry i havn't said much of what i can do yet have i. I play a little guitar occasionaly but not very often at the moment. I can play some Queen, a few Metallica, a couple Iron Maiden, Surfing with the Alien (Joe Satriani), Back In Black (ac/dc) and a few other tracks. I can do a little on the bass but nothing much at all. Mostly just a few easy Queen songs like A Kind Of Magic, Staying Power, Another One Bites The Dust, Breakthru, Under Pressure etc. |

I did forget to mention that I can also play the clarinet and sax. STEVE SAX THAT IS! Er..but I rather the brass instruments. |

Just started on the bass guitar. I'm too tight to fork out £15-20 per week for half an hours tuition, so I'm teaching myself using an array of books, videos and websites. Right now, I'm fluent in all of the major and minor scales, and I can play some of 'Money' (Pink Floyd), 'Dazed and Confused' (Zep), 'Enter Sandman' and 'My Friend of Misery' (Metallica) and I can play all of 'Only in Dreams' (Weezer). I also used to play the violin, I'd have rated myself as od 'intermediate' standard. |

I play bass guitar (5-string). I have been playing in bands for 20 years now and I probably will never make it big, but I will never stop playing. Played guitar for awhile in the band I'm in now, but I'm back to bass. I think I'm decent. I can play most of the Rush catalog, including pretty much all of "Moving Pictures" on bass along with just about any Zeppelin. 2 years ago, my band recorded a CD of acoustic music that I wrote 4 songs for. That was a great time! We hope to do that again in 2005. |

I've played piano since I was... seven, I think. So that means I've been playing for seven years. I always yell at my mom for not starting me a year or two earlier, cause then I might have been done with "Pathetique" by now. |
FairyQueen 25.12.2004 22:06 |
I play the clarinet, cello and drums. I'm great at playing the clarinet because I've been playing it for over 5 years....I'm very good at playing the cello, which I've been playing for about 2 years..and I've been playing the drums for also about 2 years which I'm pretty good at considering I taught myself...I have a very cool Roland V-80 drum set...I used to have a regular one but, my parents and I wanted something I could plug headphones into because I had a tendacy to play drums at 11:00PM and well..people sleep at that time, except me..so I can play with this drumset at any time of the night..perfect for this night owl.. |

Can you play another one bites the dust? And Under Pressure? Those tracks are quite easy ones to play. I think the easiest are.. Breakthru and Under pressure. I can barely play anything on the bass anyway but those two i think are probably the easiest tracks to play. |

Not to brag but I'm first chair alto saxophone at my school. I'm also a self taught piano player. I suck at guitar, but can play a decent White Queen. I'm a pretty good singer. I can also play clarinet & recorder, though it's nothing to brag about. |

Well, let's see. In order that I started playing... Clarinet Piano Bass Guitar Little bit of...Saxaphone, Recorder, and I can play a few rythems on drums. I've been playing clarinet for my school bands since i was in 4th grade, nearly FIVE years ago. Wow that's longer than i thought. I play in concert band, marching band, and Pit band for our school musicals we have a clarinet choir too. I've been taking lessons on piano since 4th grade to. I've played in my church a few times. I'm better at clarinet than piano. Clarinet is my best instrument. I'm currently teaching myself bass and i can play nearly every Queen song i've come across. John is my hero. I can play sax because my lil sis does and because it's nearly the same as a big brass clarinet. And just alittle bit of recorder + drums. |

I play viola (and have for about six years now). I'm pretty good, and I'm going to be auditioning for one of the FSU orchestras at the beginning of the next Fall semester. I can play violin, but because I'm so used to viola (and I much prefer viola), I'm nowhere near as good on it, and I only just barely manage to avoid embarrassing myself on it... I'm also starting class piano here at FSU, which has me really excited. The class was supposed to begin today, but my teacher cancelled, so it won't start till Tuesday. I tried oboe for a few months, but that was a dismal failure. I've come to the conclusion that I am not meant to play any instrument that requires the use of my lungs, voice included... Ja ne, minna!
