Queen on tour in 2005, great!! I only hope that it won't be just a greatest hits tour. I would love to hear some of the really old stuff and some more obscure things they haven't done before. I have put together my ultimate setlist of songs I want to hear: Innuendo Ogre Battle Flick Of The Wrist I'm Going Slightly Mad Great King Rat I Want To Break Free Breakthru The Prophet's Song I'm In Love With My Car Save Me Hammer To Fall March Of The Black Queen Gimme The Prize Was It All worth it These Are The Days Of Our Lives No-One But You Bohemian Rhapsody Radio Ga Ga The Show Must Go On - - Encore: Keep Yourself Alive It's Late We Will Rock You We Are The Champions God Save The Queen Well that's my two cents, what songs would you people love to hear on this tour? |
Benn 20.12.2004 11:48 |
Well, I'd certainly like to hear Was It All Worth it, Innuendo and I Was Born To Love You - all of the really epic rock stuff. Completely do away with the shitty chart hits and just go out there and play the rarities. The should also be considering Mr. Big, The Stealer, Ride On Pony and Moonshine by Free. Ain't going to happen though - we'll get pretty much the Knebworth / Wembley set with the odd track from Innuendo and The Miracle thrown in. |

i want to hear the millionaire waltz, cool cat, soul brother,i go crazy, somebody to love, staying power, cooming soon, you and i, jesus, the march of the black queen, nevermore and much, much more |
Hutchence 20.12.2004 14:02 |
It's really tough question but I belive that guys should perform hits they penned (Ga Ga,TYMD,Now I'm here etc.),songs they practiced in the studios without Freddie (Hitman,Too much love...etc.) and songs they sang regardless of Freddie (Tenement funster,Sleeping on...,Sail away...,Hijack my heart etc.).If they combine this properly,I think we'll have excellent show.Oh yes,I didn't forget about Free & BC catalogue.I'm not too happy about it but I hope they'll get the best of it.Keepin'my fingers crossed... |
Shane Jazz 20.12.2004 14:08 |
Is it a foregone conclusion that they will perform No One But You as the main tribute to Freddie? Maybe use that, and maybe Love of My Life by Brian to give Paul a little break in the show. |
JDL2nd 25.12.2004 17:52 |
This should be my favourite setlist : It would be really nice if they started with "It's a beatiful day" as an intro with some video stuff of Freddie. 1. Tie your mother down 2. Headlong 3. No-one but you (with vocals : Paul,Brian and Roger) 4. Play the game 5. Killer Queen 6. I'm in love with my car (vocals : Roger) 7. Another one bites the dust 8. Break Through 9. Put out the fire 10. Now I'm here 11. Under Pressure 12. Keep Yourself alive 13. Drumsolo / guitarsolo 14. Grazy little thing called love 15. Sleeping on the sidewalk (vocals : Brian) 16. Love of my live (with a video on video screen, perhaps the original clip) 17. "39 18. Hammer to fall 19. Don't stop me now 20. Radio ga ga 21. I want it all 22. The Show must go on 23. We will rock you 24. We are the champions * They should not do bohemian rhapsody because it's too much a "Freddie thing" * They should play a few songs of Paul and maybe replace some of my songs |

Ok here we go this my idea of a set list, don’t know that may Paul Rogers/Free/Bad Company songs apart from All right now, but there will be some new one’s but what’s everyone think, Also i'm hoping for no female backing singers, there nice to look at but there not really rock n roll and who ever plays keyboards i'm hoping they only play them on the songs that need them ie Tie your mother down does not need keyboards but I'm in love with my car does. 01. It's a beautiful day (Tape Intro - Freddie)/Tie your mother down (Brian/Paul vocals) 02. I want it all (Paul vocals) 03. Headlong (Paul vocals) 04. Paul Rogers/Free/Bad Company song (Paul vocals) 05. Rock it (into)/I'm in love with my car/A kind of magic (Roger vocals) 07. Another one bites the dust (Paul vocals) 08. Paul Rogers/Free/Bad Company song (Paul vocals) 09. Dragon Attack (Paul vocals) 10. Now I'm here (Paul vocals) 11. Under Pressure (Roger/Gail Ann Dorsey vocals) (if she tours with them) 12. Heaven for Everyone (Roger vocals) 13. Paul Rogers/Free/Bad Company song (Paul vocals) 14. Keep yourself alive (Paul vocals) 15. Brighton rock/Bijou/Last Horizon guitar solo 16. Love of my live (Brian vocals - acoustic) 17. Sail away sweet sister/Mother love (Brian vocals - acoustic) 18. Sleeping on the sidewalk (Brian vocals) 19. Too Much Love will kill you (Brian vocals) 20. Crazy little thing called love (Paul vocals) 21. Paul Rogers/Free/Bad Company song (Paul vocals) 22. Sweet Lady (Paul vocals, I think Paul Roger will be good at this one) 23. Hammer to fall (Paul vocals) 24. Paul Rogers/Free/Bad Company song (Paul vocals) 25. Radio gaga (Roger vocals) 26. No-one but you (Brian/Roger/Paul vocals) Encore: 27. It's A Beautiful Day (Reprise) (Tape Intro - Freddie)/Bohemian Rhapsody (Rock section only) (Paul vocals) 28. The Show must go on (I’m not sure who should sing this one really was thinking Roger and Paul) 29. All right now (Paul vocals) 30. we will rock you (Paul vocals) 31. We are the champions (Paul vocals) |

Besides that, do you really think ANYONE but Freddie could pull off The Millionaire Waltz, March Of The Black Queen, and Nevermore, particularly when 2 of these 3 songs weren't even >regularly< performed live when Freddie himself was in the band? Remind yourself who's going to be singing and who's NOT going to be singing and then tell me that you still want these songs...? |

i've posted this setlist before on polish board... i wasn't really chosing my favourites (well..not all of them) but rather songs that would sound good with paul's kind of voice (so no bijou ..but maybe a part of it as brian's solo spot?) the beginning not typical... instead of a rocker we have an intro with freddie's face on a screen... music in the background.. can be "it's a beautiful day"...complete darkness...roger sits behind his drums and starts counting....oneee... twooo... threee...fooour... 1. innuendo (paul) 2. sheer heart attack (paul) 3. hitman (paul) 4. another one bites the dust (paul) 5. scandal (paul) 6. all right now (paul) 7. paul has a small break... roger sings rock n' roll 8. i'm in love with my car (roger) 9. ressurection (brian) 10. john (yes i know.. i'm a dreamer) starts under pressure which is sung by roger and paul 11. breakthru (paul or roger) 12. a kind of magic (paul or roger) 13. action this day (paul and roger) 14. last horizon as brian's solo spot followed by parts of bijou 15. now i'm here (paul) 16. tie your mother down (paul and brian) 17. i've place bo rhap here originally but i agree it wouldn't be the best idea... maybe "was it all worth it" (paul) instead 18. lights go down... after a while brian starts keep yourself alive (paul) 19. sweet lady (paul and roger) 20. hammer to fall (paul or brian) 21. lights go down again... then after a minute or two of screams from the audience brian appears sitting on a chair and starts "love of my life"... there's no need for any of them to sing that one hehe... 22. radio gaga (roger and paul) 23. we will rock you (they can sing one stanza each... doesn't matter) 24. we are the champions... (paul) i'm tired of that one but can anyone imagine queen gig without we are the champions? 25. god save the queen (tape) and please... no girls, no WWRY crew... just brian, roger, john (please!!!), paul and spike... |
Darling39 07.01.2005 22:05 |
They can play whatever the hell they want, but I definitely want some of the iconic Freddie tunes. I know he's gone... but I just kind of want to be able to close my eyes and imagine it's him once in a while. I don't want it to be "Freddie-centric", but just a few good ones. |
The Man On The Prowl 08.01.2005 05:00 |
I hope they play some of the songs they have never performed live with Freddie: Innuendo, I Want It All, These Are The Days Of Our Lives, Scandal, The Show Must Go On, and then something from Made In Heaven. Brian could sing Too Much Love Will Kill You or Driven By You. They MUST play Hammer To Fall and some acoustic like Is This The Word We Created, or Love Of My Life, or 39... Brian and Roger should sing together No One But You for Freddie. And then for me they can play what they want. |
7Innuendo7 08.01.2005 10:01 |
As I crunk atop the LAW'86 cd case...great ideas...totally agree w/no Bo Rhap and really like the "Beautiful Day" taped intro idea, maybe w/QII cover, photo stills, tour footage from South America, etc. Free-- All Right Now Bad Company-- Rock n' Roll Fantasy The Firm-- Satisfaction Guaranteed Tie Your Mother Down Hammer to Fall I Want It All Now I'm Here We Will Rock You One Vision Sheer Heart Attack Radio GaGa I'm in Love With My Car Fight From the Inside Another One Bites the Dust I Want to Break Free You're My Best Friend Spread Your Wings Under Pressure Crazy Little Thing Called Love Killer Queen We Are the Champions GSTQ taped outro, Earl's Court footage etc (Jailhouse Rock, All the Young Dudes) :) |
kingogre 08.01.2005 10:29 |
Ive just recently been listening in to the Paul Rodgers back catalouge but I think that Shooting star by bad company and wishing well by free could be really great, especially considering how well they would fit in with brians guitar playing. Innuendo, Headlong, Fatbottomed girls and tie your mother down could be fantastic with pauls vocals also. Love of my life/´39, maybe Too much love will kill you, could be a great Brian-acoustic solo section. But no backing singers except for Brian, Roger and maybe Spike if he´s on the tour. |
Llisos 08.01.2005 10:38 |
Hola! I think they'll play a lot of song almost obligatorily: - Tie Your Mother Down and We Will Rock You (the other kids of Brian!). - Accoustic set featuring: Love of my life and Hammer to fall (slow). - Roger's stuff: Radio Ga Ga, A kind of magic and probably I'm in love with car or Tenment Funster. Under Pressure! - John's massive hits: Bites the dust and Break Free. - At least 5 songs from Rodgers. - BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY and CHAMPIONS! They must do a mix between their hits and the never played before stuff. But if they're gonna play at 15,000 people enclosures, they'll choose their major hits. |
The Real Wizard 09.01.2005 00:38 |
I'll be realistic: if they do three non-greatest hits Queen/solo tracks, I'll be a happy man. If Brian and/or Roger take lead vocals for a couple songs, I'd be thrilled to hear any one of these: Man On Fire, Sail Away Sweet Sister, Wilderness, Heaven For Everyone, Foreign Sand, Too Much Love, etc. And I wouldn't be surprised if 1/3 of the set was Bad Company and Free material. That'll piss off a lot of hardcore Queen fans, but since I love both of Rodgers' bands, I've got no problem with that. |
Peta 09.01.2005 04:41 |
My list: 1. One Vision 2. In the lap of the gods 3. Seven seas of rhye 4. I want to break free 5. Breakthru 6. Who wants to live forever 7. Las Palabras del amor 8. 39 9. I want it all 10. Love of my life 11. Is this the world we created 12. Now I am here 13. Innuendo 14. These are the days of our lifes 15. The Miracle 16. Made in Heaven 17. Radio Ga ga 18. Heaven for everyone 19. Crazy little thing called love 20. Bohemian Rhapsody 21. Friends will be friends 22. No-one but you 23. Show must go on 24. We will rock you 25. We are the champions + some songs from Paul Rodgers |

Some of these lists are ridiculous. The only one that makes any sense is Guitar hero's. The rest are beyond the realm of wishful thinking. |
Queen& 11.01.2005 14:25 |
it will just be the hits there not going to play song from 1st album that theyhavent played since the 70s |
Mlaimo 11.01.2005 17:06 |
It asked what songs you WANT to hear, not what you THINK they'll play. I'd love to hear most of the songs everyone lists here (OGRE BATTLE!), but in my opinion, you'll hear: 1/3 Free/Bad Company, as GH pointed out. Then, in no particular order, I think they'll play: Headlong Now I'm Here WWRY WATC Radio GAGA Hitman I Want It All TYMD Crazy Little Thing Days Of Our Lives Maybes: Sleeping On The Sidewalk, Keep Yourself Alive, A Kind Of Magic, Who Wants To Live Forever, Hammer To Fall. My two cents |
kingogre 11.01.2005 17:39 |
"Feel like making love" by Bad Company could be really good. |
santiago_986 12.01.2005 23:05 |
intro: siddartha we will rock you fast dead on time in the laps of the gods innuendo/headlong ´39 dreamers ball -acustico, eso si- was it all worth it? show must go on keep yourself alive las palabras de amor |
akindofmagic 12.01.2005 23:19 |
I think they will go a little bit more blues this time... Brian was looking forward for the backing tapes of "See what a fool i've been" for some Reason. "Sleeping on the side walk" is being played on those Queen one off shows a lot, and Let Me Out is a Fans/Brian Favorite. I think those Songs fit on PR style of singing, and at leats 2 of them will certainly be played. I think they will play "The Call" and " Invincible hope" too. Then we have the obvious that everyone knows! |
zanotti 13.01.2005 03:42 |
I dont know why people think Brian and Roger should sing. Whats the point of getting Paul then? anyway heres my setlist. We will rock you(fast) Tie your mother down Cant get enough of your love I want it all Somebody to love A kind of magic Under pressure Wishing well Love of my life I want to break free Stone cold crazy Another one bites the dust Radio Gaga Hammer to fall These are the days of our lives Bohemian Rhapsody One Vision Crazy little thing called love Now im here Encore1 All right now The show must go on Encore 2 We will rock you We are the champions God save the queen I think there will be a few suprises though. Lineup- Brian May-Guitar John Deacon-bass Paul Rodgers-Vocals Roger taylor-drums Spike edney-Keys Jamie Moses-Guitar Chris Thompson-bvs Those two girls-bvs |
Jimi 13.01.2005 10:12 |
Agreed. There is not going to be much variation on a theme. I reckon we'll get Wishing well , Alright now and Feel like making love plus possibly My Brother Jake from Paul. I'm happy with that. As for Queen i just can't see them doing a load of breakneck speed tracks. Hitman for gods sake????? No chance. Innuendo maybe. Paul could definitely sing Its late but will Brian play it? Sidewalk looks stuck on but as for any other back catalogue stuff i just can't see it. How bloody long do you think they are gonna be on for to fit all this stuff in!!! I'll bet they play no more than 100 minutes. |
The Real Wizard 13.01.2005 16:18 |
kingogre wrote: "Feel like making love" by Bad Company could be really good.Yeah, they'd better play it! I can't wait to hear Brian's tone with this song. |
kingogre 14.01.2005 05:50 |
Agreed, could really sound great with brians lead. If they dont do it their missing out on a really big opportunity. Strangely IMO Brians guitarplaying would fit in really good with a lot of the bad company songs. |
Voice of Reason 2018 14.01.2005 07:11 |
Yes, a good mix of hits and heavier or more obscure album tracks would be good. I guess we'll also get Alright Now and Wishing Well. I think Brian worked Since You've Been Gone into his live set well, so I think they can do a good job on the Free songs. Roger used to do Tenement Funster, but did he ever go right back to Modern Times Rock 'n' Roll? Now that I'd like to see! Cheers, The Voice. |
willem-jan 8923 14.01.2005 08:10 |
Would be nice to hear the (original) slow Stone cold crazy, followed by the faster version just like they (Brian) did with Hammer to fall. However, I'm afraid Brian and Roger don't have a clue on how to play it like they did in the old days. But hey, asking what song I wont to hear, leaves me free to give any possible answer. |
RohemianBapsody 14.01.2005 08:20 |
What I would like to hear is:- Ogre Battle Somebody to Love Tie Your Mother Down Lap of the Gods Now I'm Here Liar Radio Ga Ga but the whole songs, not just a medley. Unfortunately what I think will be played will be the more commercial songs; especially those in We Will Rock You. They might change the lineup for the brxton show - purely as they will have a more captive audience of fans that have already bought all the stuff they have ever released. |
rasavi 17.01.2005 09:51 |
Well, I would like to hear the rock type songs, and I also would like them to keep the way the old gigs used to be- no girls, please. Just the four of them playing good stuff |
Hankster 17.01.2005 11:11 |
they WILL play Bo.Rap., like the most us already expected (what is a Queen concert without Bo.Rap??!!), according to this quote from bri's site; "Rodgers "officially at Queen school," studying the Queen catalogue, might yet be seen "trading vocals with a video image of Freddie" on Bo Rhap." |
Hankster 19.01.2005 04:50 |
you can give Queen and Paul your Tour set list by following this link; link so please submit a set list wich contains these songs ;) One Vision Headlong How About That Breakthru (with It’s a Beautiful Day as intro) Now I’m Here ‘39 Tie Your Mother Down Can’t Get Enough Of Your Love Fat Bottomed Girls Allright Now Bohemian Rhapsody Hammer To Fall Need Your Loving Tonight Radio Ga Ga I Want It All Heaven For Everyone :D |

nah .. I think they won't start with Allright Now, that song worked too well at the Music Hall .. sounds strange maybe .. but I guess they will wait with that song untill the highlight of the show; just before the encore, together with Boh. You kinda figure it could be a 70/30 or 60/40 ratio of Queen/paul songs. From some post ppl seem to be thinking this is gonna be 98% of Queen stuff, lol I highly doubt the set list will have up to, or more then 80% Queen stuff. |
Jimi 19.01.2005 17:54 |
There'll be 4 or 5 Paul songs out of a set of maybe 20 22 tracks so we are looking at a 75 - 25 split. don't under estimate paul. He knows the ropes.he's been the and done it. you will love the free / bad company tracks i guarantee |

I'd like to hear no Freddie tapes whatsoever - no intro to Innuendo or Breakthru or anything. What do you think? |
Hankster 21.01.2005 06:10 |
well .. I've always said that I would like to hear the intro of Innuendo before the first real song (One Vision), and the outro of Innuendo at the end of the first part (before the encore) why? The intro would be a great warm-up for the public; they will go wild when they suddenly hear Freds voice. And the outro will be just a practical thing; they aren't that young anymore, so I think that a bit longer break between the first part and the encore would be needed. And when the people can listen to the wonderfull outro of Innuendo, they won't get bored :P .. and when the outro is over; wham! Radio Ga Ga, IWIA, WWRY, Heaven for Everyone, We Are The Champions and God save the Queen .. I think that the intro and outro of Innuendo would be awesome .. but no melodramatic tapes of Bo.Rap. and SMGO; it's sad that he's dead, but this is a new show with Paul fronting Queen, and not a Tribute show with Paul honouring Freddie .. |
IvoDutch 21.01.2005 06:12 |
I think it would be very nice to hear a bit of Freddie in the show. An Under pressure "duet" with Freddie and Paul Rodgers could work out nicely. Or maybe "let me Live". my setlist for the night: First, the "shock and Awe" treatment...Rock on! 1. Was it all worth it 2. Tie your mother down (Brian/Paul vocals) 3. Don't stop me know 4. I want it All (Brian/Paul vocals) Then, back to the 70's (part Medley): 5. Killer Queen 6. Bicycle Race 7. Fat bottomed Girls 8. All right now (the only paul rodgers song I know of) 9. It's late 10. Spread your Wings After this, let Brian an Roger sing a couple: 11. Driven by you (vocals Brian) 12. Love of my life (vocals Brian) 13. Old Friends (vocals roger) 14. Let me Live (vocals Brian Roger Paul) 15. I'm in love with my car (Roger vocals) 16. Radio Gaga (Roger vocals) Time for some greatest hits and newer songs: 17. Headlong 18. Under pressure 19. Breakthru 20. Innuendo 21. The Show must go on Encore: 22. Friends will be Friends 23. These are the days of our lives 24. Heaven for everyone 25. We are the champions 26. God save the Queen (taped) |

Hi Hankster. I know it will be hard to make a "duet" with Freddie work, but I just have the feeling the guys will come up with something special. Oh, We will Rock you (slow) is not my favourite song, my i do think they will play it. The fast version somewhere at the start of the show will do for me. Bohemian Rhapsody's studio version is special and unique. I never really liked it when played live. I hope they will skip it. |

Guys, have some people forgotten that Paul Rodgers is on this tour! Some of the "set lists" don't have any Paul Rodgers songs at all. How naiive can you get! Expect a rocky/rougher set with 5 - 6 Rodgers songs with a few surprises thrown in. This is Queen resurrected "rising from the ashes" tour where they'll mix it with Paul in a blinding 2 hour set. |

The only couple of Paul Rodgers songs I know have quite a bluesy feel to them. I wonder if he'll bring that to the Queen songs. I also expect Roger to take lead vocals on I'm in Love with My Car! |
