Hi, It's Alessandro here from Rozzano (Milan) - Italy. I want to let you know that I make a petition in wich I ask to John Deacon to TOUR with Queen in Spring 2005. Well, I know, as J. Lennon says "you may say... I'm a dreamer..." I can Reply "But I'm not the only one".. Some friends of mine and many italian fans, have already signed my petition. Now we had already more than 80 signatures in one day. I am 28 years old, not a child that want to play with internet, I believe really in what I am doing. I think that today, Internet has really big power to get in touch Queen Fans all over Europe, so I Have to make all I can to try to make a Reunion with Brian, Roger and John. Now, a new tour with Brian, Roger & Paul Rodgers is not just a rumours, so PLEASE, ALL TOGETHER, Spread our wings and let John Know we want also Him in this tour! We don't want to trouble John, We all respect his decision to retire from business but we want to let him know that we are close to him and that a new tour with him would be great. Please take a look to my petition here: link sign if you want, and SAY this to all people you know and to all Queen site you visite everyday, so all Queen fans all over Europe can read the petition and if they want, sign it. I think this is not just a petition. I think that this time, ALL TOGETHER we can really do something. I have already advised the Italian Official Fan Club, the Italian Newsgroup and the most important italian site for Queen fans "DuckHouse.it". And I sent also an e-mail to the soapbox of Mr May. A public petition is sure the weirdest way to respect someone's decision concerning his own life and to respect the person's privacy. John Deacon has not been seen anywhere in public for years, so leave him alone. Your pathetic petition sure has no impact on John's decision, you only make a fool of yourself. Why is it so hard to accept such a simple fact as: John Deacon has retired ? |

YourValentine, please read the petition! It's clear that we all respect the decision of Mr Deacon but We all wanto to let him know we miss him and all Queen fans are close to him. He is the same great bass player we know, also if he dosn't tour with Brian and Roger. I'm not a fool and also the 80 fans who have signed. I respect people's privacy, I will not go to John's house to take the petition, don't worry. It's just a simple way I think in which fans can speak to their idol. i would like to see john on stage so, i sign this petition i respect john's decission i know this would'nt affect his decission but queen is a four member band Fred cant come back, altough we sign 1000 petition but 3 of them are alive, and i wouldnt like to see another bassist i would like to see john brian & roger so, john, 'we miss you buddy!!!! if you want to be retired, well, that's ok but we would like to see you play, and that's because i sign this petition |

Poor John. He's retired. Let sleeping dogs lie. If he did decide to come out of retirement I cant imagine a tiny petition of 80-100 people would change his mind. Ok John is my absolute favorite member of Queen, but as far as im concerned, hes retired and I respect that he wants to stay that way. You can't petition a band member to play with thier band. You can ASK them, but a petition implies force and thats not right. Leave the guy alone for christsake. If he doesnt want to tour he doesnt want to, but some people just can't accept that i guess. |

There's nothing wrong with this petition in my opinion. Nobody will force John to study again one vision's riffs...if he does not want to play he won't :D but in such case, a forthcoming tour, i think that fans are allowed to ask him to perform! ..just signed.. PLAY IT AGAIN JOHN! |

John we would all like to see you. At least you can give us young guys (im only 18 and decdicated to Queen) a show sadly I live in the US and I dont see any notion to come over here but still new photo's, material, live album and DVD im sure. It would be nice to have Queen rule supreme again. |

hey good and valid points one and all! but hey mr john deacon put himself in the spotlight joining a band he wanted the reaction and the glory ok. now as fans we feel let down and so we should be! he really needs to come out publicly and say " i dont wanna tour cos.........." or (as we all would love) him too say im gonna tour cos............ john deacon owes his public a reaction he needs to realise how many fans wanna see him he IS queen he needs to be responsible and tell us his fans what he thinks. lets put this in perspective john was as loved in the band as any other member ok if freddie (god rest his soul) was alive today and just dissa peared into oblivion we would all wanna know where he is ok? same with john. hes as big as freddie in the band he really needs to tell us why he took the fame, he can take the price of US wanting to know his thoughts |
