I'm about to start the soul destroying and generally toenail-chewing business of Christmas shopping. This is alright because I only have three presents to buy and two of those will be easy. I'm thinking of getting my boyfriend a hip flask and because he's a computer nerd I'd get some sort of geeky inscription engraved on it. So any thoughts on a computer nerd in-joke that might be good? Not too mushy but I thought along the lines of "You are 1337". But more original and amusing than that.

There are so many...
I would suggest you some funny T-shirts with sentences like "Be careful. You might be on my blog tomorrow", there are some with drawings of a penguim shitting on the Windows logo (a good one for linuxers...), etc...
Yes - he's quite the Linux fan. Unfortunately, I think pictures are out because it needs to be something that can be engraved on a hip flask. iGSM - I'm not sure where he'd fit in on a scale of 1 to 10 but for his third-year papers at uni he got straight A+s, if that helps (probably pretty nerdy then!)
Because when you are hurt/hit your brain released endorphins. Endorphins then bind to the opioid receptors in the brain. They disinhibit the dopamine pathways, causing more dopamine to be released into the synapses.
That's one explanation. The other is they were raped severely as a child by an older uncle/cousin. With an anvil. Made of glass. That had fibreglass on it too.
Pfft, you can't be studying English dragonflamez. New Zealand isn't a language! Suxty-sux years ago it would have been, heh :)
Or fush 'n' chups. tee-hee. Just playin'.
He's a massive slashdot fan so I think he'd probably enjoy that one too. What am I doing with him??!! Thanks everyone btw.
I better get a nice present from him too.

hahaah, nice. A new zealander once asked me "whats your accent?" i replied "educated, fuck wit!"
i love that joke, because it works,
I think your "suxty-sux" comes from the, shall we say, lower socio-economic groups. I certainly don't do it but then my parents are British and my accent isn't anywhere near as Kiwi as some are.
Anyway, better than "feeftain beets of feesh and seextain serves of cheeps plaise." ;-p
