Souvenir Wanted
Linda McCartney Tribute Album
So, Roger didn't play on this? QOL listed it as a Queen project, so I assumed both Bri and Roger played.
Zeni: This was a Paul McCartney project - not Queen, so as far as I am aware, it did not feature Roger or John, and that Brian added his guitar later in the post-production.
Did anyone actually get hold of this LP or track? It just seemed to evaporate after all the hype.
YV: Ok I will write out "Treana Morris" 100 times - sorry;-)

Sounds reasonable enough. I just had the info QOL put up at one time to go on, though they seem to have deleted their archives for some reason.
As for the track, did any of the Tribute material ever come out? Seems the whole thing was shelved, and not just Brian's contribution.
The song Souvenir was originally on Paul's Flamming Pie album from 1997. As I understood it, the Linda McC album was going to be various bands doing covers of Paul and Linda's songs. I seem to remember that Queen (as in Brian and Roger) were going to do a cover version of Souvenir.

Any of these two songs correspond to the rejected demo that Brian has sent to the publishers? (it was a completely different version of the song).
Take care
