I love Freddie's version of the Great Pretender. I also like In My defense Roger: I can't pick just one song. The Strange Frontier Album is really good. Brian: Last Horizon |
YourValentine 20.11.2004 10:34 |
"Resurrection" just rocks, it's my all time favourite solo song. When it comes to ballads, I'd go for "Unassuming" from John Deacon's unreleased "Man In The Shadows" album. |
Brimon 20.11.2004 10:45 |
I like most of the bands solo work but the best one of them all for me is Barcelona, because its one of the few songs, that can make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. |

Freddie - All of Mr Bad Guy album, How Can I Go On, Barcelona Brian - All of BttL, re-recording mix of Driven by You(buries the original UK BttL version as Cozy played drums on the US mix). The title cut to Another World, Business and China Belle Roger - Fun in Space is the best album, I also liked Man on Fire, Pressure On and his version of Working Class Hero |
Lester Burnham 21.11.2004 01:39 |
Freddie : The Golden Boy, Barcelona, How Can I Go On, Love Me Like There's No Tomorrow, In My Defence, I Can Hear Music, Goin' Back Brian : Back To The Light, Let Your Heart Rule Your Head, Just One Life, Rollin' Over, Business, All The Way From Memphis, On My Way Up, Dream Of Thee, My Boy, Does Your Chewing Gum Lose Its Flavour? Roger : I Wanna Testify, No Violins, Magic Is Loose, My Country, Fun In Space, Strange Frontier, Man On Fire, Killing Time, Young Love, I Cry For You, Touch The Sky, Revelations, Freedom Train, Old Friends The Cross : Power To Love, Love Lies Bleeding, New Dark Ages John : good call on Unassuming, Barbara, though Birdman's Blues has the best kazoo-Jews harp-harmonica duel I've ever heard, and Fist Through A Window has a pretty gnarly bass guitar solo. Pretty hard to choose... |

Well, Freddie certainly did the best solo stuff favourite songs from Freddie: The Great Pretender, Barcelona, I Was Born To Love You (1985 version), Made In Heaven (1985 version), Love Kills Brian: Too Much Love Will Kill You (better than Queen version), Driven By You ... the rest sucks Roger: His solo material is by far the weakest (unlike his Queen material) ... but I like "Foreign Sand" (his best solo effort) |
Danne 23.11.2004 08:46 |
Peter Cetera wrote: Well, Freddie certainly did the best solo stuffI don't agree. In my opinion Freddie's solo material was the weakest (apart from the Barcelona album). |
