What do you think are the worse songs Queen has performed live? I think Under Pressure is one because Freddie speaks the second verse and doesn't sing it, I love that song, and speaking it makes it seem as if he can't hit the notes or something, the magic of the song dies in my opinion. |

I always thought that Fat Bottomed Girls sucked live, but now after seeing Queen on Fire, I love it. |

LOML, when the crowd (hey people from Montreal!) does not join in! |

Simple, AOBTD from the WORKS tour. Utter rubbish! Some might say an embarrassment! |
brENsKi 15.11.2004 14:06 |
i never liked the "leave the stage" aspect of the operatic section of Bo-Rhap. always preferred the (upto 79) approach of "stick it in a medley - that way you get the bits of the song they could do live - interspersed with other interesting songs ...rather than a blank stage with a few lights |
Mr Fred 15.11.2004 16:35 |
gotta agree with mercuryarts. Anbtd in the Works tour is really bad. I never really liked the syntsolos in the 84 tour either. over all many songs were not in the top shape in the Works tour. |

From what I have heard, I have to say Tear It Up from the Magic tour. That's the only song that comes to mind. |

I liked that they did that because the opera section was hard to recreate live! Queen's songs were way better live than studio at times! |

I preferred the acoustic drum versions from 1980-82 and The Magic Tour. |

iwould have to agree with another one bites the dust during the works tour. A bit better during the magic tour though. |
Fenderek 16.11.2004 08:46 |
BoRhap with the middle part from the tape (I love medleys!!!) Tear It Up (apart from Budapest- I really like his voice there) Most of the WORKS TOUR (not songs- just the crappy sound and fuckin' awful drums...!!!) We Are The Champions (Fred sang it really well only @ Live Aid) Body Language (utter crap- the live version doesn't change my view) |
bitesthedust 16.11.2004 08:57 |
Get Down Make Love (don't like it, the live version doesn't change it either). Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy (ditto). |

On The Works tour, the medley of songs they did from 'Man in the Shadow' never worked for me. |
gabriel79 16.11.2004 12:02 |
we are the champions some versions of aobtd bicycle race |
Gunpowder Gelatine 16.11.2004 12:08 |
I don't love how they sped up Back Chat. Something about it just didn't sound right, although the guitar solo was great. |
Perry 16.11.2004 12:12 |
I didn't like the way the taped 'Machines' merged with 'Tear It Up' in 1984. I liked they way it merged into 'Tie Your Mother Down' in 1985 though. |

right,friends will be friends |
Lord Blackadder 16.11.2004 13:03 |
Wrong. I think Back Chat is better live. It gives the song something it can't have in the studio. Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy is good live and so is Tear It Up. But The Works Tour was dire. They got hooked on synths. I hated when the added them into Champions just before chorus and the drums, AWFUL! |
KJ 16.11.2004 13:23 |
Another one bites the dust, Who wants to live forever |
tastytunge 16.11.2004 13:49 |
I honestly have to say "sheer heart attack". its sounds too sloppy and too fast live. i love the studio version alot better on "news of the world". |
Gunpowder Gelatine 16.11.2004 14:35 |
Lord Blackadder wrote: Wrong. I think Back Chat is better live. It gives the song something it can't have in the studio. Not necessarily wrong, just a different opinion. Like how I personally love Who Wants To Live Forever live, but Alex Solan doesn't. I quite like Back Chat in the studio anyway. |

When audience couldn't sing though Freddie gave them chance ('I Want To Break Free' from Wembley, some Budapest's ones). The rest of them were good, IMHO. |
brian_may_wannabe 16.11.2004 16:07 |
Difficult one. Killer Queen probably. Or Another One Bites The Dust. |
little foetus 16.11.2004 18:40 |
According to me, aobtd in the works tour is really the song which does not work... I think the Prophet's Song is a great song but the middle part with the vocals have never worked according to me, as Get down make love. I've never understood what they wanted to do with these strange noises... |
LiveAidQueen 16.11.2004 21:11 |
Some versions of WWRY/WATC are terrible. |
Jimmy Dean 16.11.2004 22:08 |
Whenever they tried to extend something beyond what it was really worth, ie, Get Down Make Love, Brighton Rock Solo, Prophet's Song/White Man, etc... The only time it didn't suck was when they did Son And Daughter, only because it actually was a progressive blues number! In my opinion, they should have kept playing It's Late even after the News of The World and Jazz Tours and used Keep yourslef Alive w/ Roger drum solo and Brian guitar solo. |
Gondorian Queen Fan 17.11.2004 10:38 |
I don't really like live songs(sorry for my English.).My dad bought me Live At Wembley '86,but I don't really want. There are many live songs which I don't really like. |

little foetus wrote: Get down make love. I've never understood what they wanted to do with these strange noises...It's called innovation. Have you ever heard anyone else play their guitar like that? I think most versions of GDML are incredible. The early ones, because FM's voice and John's bass are like the record, and the later versions, because they really expanded the middle section. |
radio_what's_new 17.11.2004 13:02 |
draggon attack ........i always skip that one. Best song live: my melancholy bleus |

I've indeed never heard someone who played the guitar as Brian but i'm not fond of this stuff... |
slightly mad 22 18.11.2004 05:10 |
most brighton rock guitar solo's are painfully long and dull bicycle race and i laways thought fat bottomed girls sucked live too (MK the exception) |
Rotwang 18.11.2004 08:08 |
I think I would have to agree with AOBTD from the Works Tour but I would also have to throw in Somebody To Love...purely a studio song. They did the best they could with it. The only reason it was on any set list was because it was a single. They probably wouldn't have played it otherwise. |
mamamia 18.11.2004 13:02 |
Fat Bottomed Girls wasn't that great from Milton Keynes, also I think Love of my Life when the audience join in, it sounds like a sing-a-long, better if Freddie would have sung it alone. |
