I'm not very well versed in these sort of things but the one that struck me most is the Osaka 85 bootleg I've recently downloaded from here. The audience was superb, the recording was excellent, I'd give it a 10. |

I most certainly have never seen 99% of the footage you list (I'm jealous!), but I do have MK '82, and I agree that Somebody To Love is smashing! I have seen a lot of photos with Freddie in black pants with red kneepads and in red pants with black kneepads. About each tour of '70s I've been keen on espcially, from ADATR tour Glasgow and Earls Court, from the NOTW tour Houston and Stockholm( or Copenhagen), from The Jazz tour Chicago and Montreal are my favorites although I think there are many stuffs circulated from those three tours. Of course Rainbow 20/11/'74, Hammy '75 and Hammy'79 are my favorites, too. And besides I also go for Tokyo 31/03/'76. I'd like to make a list which would show the best bootlegs of each tour if I can although little part of that have been already made in my mind... |
dfitz 15.06.2005 14:26 |
So, where's the best source for the best of the bootlegs? |
Mr Fred 15.06.2005 16:45 |
For the first. It is a difference between great shows and great sound quality. But I will go for these, which is really good Golders green 73 japan 29/4-75 Japan 29/3-76 Copenhagen 77 Berlin 78 montreal 78 hammersmith 79 Oakland 80 Buenos Aires 8/3-81 Frankfurt 82 stuttgart 84 Japan 9/5-85 Mannheim 86 and most of the early magicshows This list could have been much longer, there are plenty more great Notw gigs and earlier gigs, but have o look on these, this will guide you well. |

Try using the ones you have to trade, or use the Queen hub (details on this site). Otherwise you can just to what most people do and download em from the announce section of Queenzone, either from Rapidshare or on Bittorrent, and remember to thank whoever posted it up profusely. Then, when you have a few - share them with others! |

the only one that I can think of that hasnt been mention here is Tokyo 4-4-76.....its an incomplete show, only about 53 minutes long I think, but the quality is STUNNING.....just about as good as the Xmas Eve 75 show.....and the BoRhap medley is awesome, too.....and any live performance of White Queen is usually fantastic :) I dont know if this was mentioned but I'd also have to add the Milan 84 (first night) show as well... and I know a few people mentioned this one....but that 12-8-80 Wembley show is great....one of the best versions of Save Me I've heard.... |
