Sorry, I couldn't resist. Here is a proof that if you write ANYTHING about the musical, you get a reply from Brian, no matter how stupid the rest of your letter is:
------
"Hey brian,
How are you? Would you like to have a copy from the Bootleg Rhapsody in red? It is recorded at Middlesex (october 78, including it's late!) and Hammersmith (december 76), Please let me know!
...
Ps. any chance WWRY will come to the netherlands?"
------
This fool is offering to Brian a copy of a fake bootleg ("Middlesex concert" = studio tracks from BBC, Hammersmith 76 = 1975 of course) and just because he mentions the word "WWRY" in the end, he gets a response. Now is that fair? :-)
...maybe I should start using the same tactics because I get heaps of emails every day. From now I'm replying only to emails that have the "I will send you money" string in them :-)

LOL
the most sad and embarassing thing is that we all know that what Martin said is the truth, so it's ok to laugh about it instead of crying...
cheeeeers!
well, I wrote Brian about the musical and I didn't get an answer and then I also wrote to tell him that the bootleg offered was a fake and he didn't answer either, so :(
LOL
I was talking to my mother about Brian May's website and soapbox and that he replies to fan letters, etc and my mum was really impressed that he keeps in touch with fans like he does.
So I said "well, if YOU also want to get an email from Brian May personally just tell him that you were enchanted by the musical you saw in London and ask him if there are any chances to get the musical to Brazil and you'll definitely get an answer"
I don't think she's done it yet, though.
I suppose there's a certain amount of truth in this - I think it's a subconcious thing rather than blatant attempt to plug the musical. After all, the readers of the site aren't (on the whole) likely to be in need of conversion/pursuasion to see the musical.
As for the dates etc. I think there's been a few times when Brian or Roger can't remember such and such an event or get dates wrong etc.
How many countries are there in the world left? Just trying to work out when we might see those box sets being released....
"How many countries are there in the world left?"
Cuba will resist for a while. Also North Korea will survive the attack of the musical cause they have nuclear weapons.

There's another example of those kinds of letters for you.....hmm....I remember the first time I wrote a letter to him almost like that only a bit more lengthy...didn't mention anything about WWRY...didn't get a reply...I'll be surprised if it was even read...
