HI again, I was just wondering if there were songs that Queen never or hardly ever played live. and also what concerts was GOOD OLD FASHIONED LOVER BOY performed at?
Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy was part of the medley during the 1977 tour. After that it got dropped from the set I think. The closest thing to a full live version is the BBC Top of the Pops performance.
Songs that weren't played live:
My Fairy King
Some Day One Day
The Loser in The End
The Fairy Fellers Master Stroke
Nevermore
Funny How Love Is
Tenement Funster
Lily Of the Valley
Dear Friends
Misfire
She Makes Me
Seaside Rendezvous
Good Company
Long Away*
You and I
Drowse
All Dead All Dead
Fight from the Inside
Who Needs you
Jealousy
Dead on Time
In Only Seven Days
Fun It
Leaving Home Ain't Easy
More of that Jazz
Don't Try Suicide
Sail Away Sweet Sister
Coming Soon
[Almost the entire Flash Gordon album]
Dancer
Cool Cat
Man on the Prowl
Machines*
Keep Passing the Open Windows
One Year of Love
Pain is so Close To Pleasure
Gimme the Prize
Don't lose Your Head
Princes of the Universe
there you are!
*Long Away was played in rehearsals but for some reason they dropped it from the setlist, and it got never played on stage. Maybe because they thought it wouldn't work
*Sleeping on the Sidewalk and Las Palabras de Amor were played only once, so they're not on the list
*I don't count Spikes keyboard solo as the Machines song
I think either Fun It should count (for the verse Fred sung sometimes as intro to KYA) or Black Queen shouldn't (since the small portion they played of it was in percentage just as much as the mentioned Fun It fragment)
When was Sleeping on the Side performed? I love that song.
been so long since I looked at dates and nada nada, first date of NOTW north American tour, memphis was the venue I guess, I actually know 2 ppl who attended the show, 1 wrote down all the songs that were played on the cover of the tour guide

Check out this: link
an intersting resource, isn't it?

Sleeping On The Sidewalk - must have been the first day of the tour (Portland) or I also heard something about Toronto (about 8th gig of tour). link
ThomasQuinn - would you be a bit more specific about your two live versions of Las Palabras De Amor?
Damn. If there's no recordings then there's no more meaning to life...*commits regicide*
Too bad there aren't any recordings, that's a great song by Brizzer.
So Rock It was preformed live?
Does anyone know who did the main vocals if it was
Roger who sang or Freddie because it'd look a likkle wierd if he was just standing there doing nothing (or playing the tamberine?)
Wasn't it a bit like GOFLB, the band playing along to the backingtrack? I think the BBC broadcasted it last year on TOTP2 and Darren Robins reported that it was a different version (meaning that the version on Flix 3 was overdubbed with the album version) ?
Surprise, surprise... there are no dates.
Either he was lazy, full of shit, or some trader emailed him and told him to keep his mouth shut. I have no doubts for any of those options, because all three have happened here. Need I give examples?

OK, it's not a Queen song, but sometime it was perfomed live?
Just found out that Queen werent the first rock band to use this at the end of their shows - The Sweet did it as well. Its on their Live at The Rainbow CD from 1973.

has anyone heard The Night Comes Down live? I heard it wasn't played after '73.
Presumably, someone must have heard it unless they only played at empty venues :p
If your question is about anyone here having a bootleg or something ... I highly doubt it, but I'd happily stand corrected.
