its a rare one and thus the high price. However, Ive seen it too much on eBay lately. Nevertheless, only a few hundred were made and a lot were destroyed by the police.

Why were a lot of the copies destroyed by the police?

In my humble opinion: E1,999.00 EUR (£1,343.08 GBP, or $2,404.10 USD) for an original copy of the "Zoom" Queen LP is quite excessive - and I don't care how rare it is!
It is a bootlegged unofficial product which has absolutely nothing to do with Queen, and the concert is available (in better sound quality) on CD anyway!
I know that some may disagree, but I see it like this. Some collect coins. Others collect stamps.
I collect the works of Queen. To me, a "Hammer To Fall" 7" picture sleeve is not about the music (I could obtain that as numerous CD variations), rather, it is like a "giant stamp" if you will.
Likewise a "Hammer To Fall" 7" acetate is like a coin first pressing - or an "unreleased" acetate track - like a Walt Disney discarded "Snow White" cell.
Even if the music is available as MP3 downloads, these original acetates or sleeves will still hold their value, (just as an Andy Warhol original holds its value despite the hundreds of thousand poster reproductions) BECAUSE they are in themselves very collectable (and sexy) objects.
Again this is my personal take, but I find this object neither uneque, desirable or sexy - but then again, perhaps my wife thinks the same about me!
Anyhow, I don't think I'll be bidding!
It is bootleg release - not a pirate release (a bootleg is a copy something that was never officially released or is out of print) ... Perhaps someone has bought into the RIAA propaganda?
Yep it's the most expensive bootleg ever!
Pleas notice that this not the same show as QUEEN ZOOM 2cd. That's the evening show, the ZOOM 2lp is teh afternoon, which I personally think is much better please listnen to the Now I'm Here/ Jailhouse rock those are really stunning!!!
And ThomasQ what's wrong with Pim Fortuin ?
