I'm working at a camp over the summer in Computers, and one of the other staff members came sick, and now a bunch of people are sick in different ways, including me.
Unfortunately, the nurses are weird, and they deny the existence of cough syrup.
As of today, I've got a dry (starting to get bronchitis-y) cough, major chills, and my head is swimming, which may be the cause of taking an unknown cough/cold pill that a friend gave me (I forgot to check the hours between doses.)
I can't rest because the camp opens today, and the head of my area was sent to the ER last night with a fever and ... mono? So as the only staff member, I can't leave. (Great way to start the summer, no?)
I've been drinking a lot of tea, water, etc, but nothing seems to be helping. Anyone have any ideas, before I pass out?
Wheee, I started singing Grease, too. Oh well. Sorry to hear you're so ill, dear. Get well soon!
*gives careful hug*
Unfortunately I have no good ideas for you to use. Water, tea and rest is usually my own cure, but it seems you've already tried that one.
Very disturbing in so many ways. Computers at camp? I hope they at least have nature scenes for wallpaper.
And it's always a great idea to have everyone be sick when the kids come along. Wait til you're all dealing with hundreds of sick kids in a week.
Flashy's Famous Hot Toddy:-
1 tblsp Honey
3/4 glass Tea
2 shots Brandy
1 slice Lemon
6 or 7 of those and you'll be right as rain. Don't worry if you haven't any honey, tea or lemon - it works just as well without.
O, great idea. Unfortunately, any knock of scotch or brandy would send me packing. (it's a sleepaway camp, no booze allowed.)
And it's an arts camp, so all the kids are lazy, pale, etc. Perfect place for computers.
