Recently I became addicted to MJ's music, after barely listening to it for the last 10 years.
The music is brilliant IMO, of course the person behind the music got completely f*cked up in the last 10 years or so - but the music he created in the 70's, 80's and 90's is brilliant IMO.
I'm looking for people interested in trading MJ stuff (videocd, live concerts etc) for Queen stuff. I've got TONS of Queen stuff (link - so please contact me in private if you've got interesting MJ stuff and are interested in trading.
Please - don't make this a "MJ-bash" topic. If you don't like him/his music, please don't reply.
I'm especially interested in good quality (video-)-recordings of the Bad / Dangerous / History tours.
Thanks in advance!
A honest question:
How much does he use backing tracks or simply lipsynch in his shows? The only live stuff I've seen has been short TV performances with him lipsynching.
"How much does he use backing tracks or simply lipsynch in his shows?"
Bad 1987 tour: 80% live, 20% lipsynch
Dangerous 1992 tour: 50% / 50%
History tour: 30% live, 70% lipsynch
Which, of course, sucks :-P Most of his one off performances seem to be lipsynch to - 90% of the stuff I've seen so far has been lipsynch....
Although I strongly criticize lipsynching, I somehow defend it when the singer is performing a lot of dance moves, because it's hard for the performer to give a good vocal performance without running out of breath.
Then you have morons like Enrique Iglesias who don't dance or hardly ever move through the performance, and they still lipsynch.
I'm not the trading type and don't collect live recordings, but here's a version of Billie Jean never-before heard.
Edit: No longer available. Thanks for all the feedback though!(5.33 MB, 192k)
I call it the 'extra snare edit'. Was just playing around with editing and came up with this :)
