Thanks for replying. I was about to delete it for lack of response. I thought it was funny and figured others might too.
We have such a hostile relationship Adam. So much sexual tension.
Adam and I have had a tense relationship since day one. We seem to argue about the more technical aspects of things.
Whenever I make a useless, just for fun post like this one, he responds with a comment like 'What a strange thing to post' or 'Sighs' as if I only live for his comments on things. I post the silly useless crap for the people who know not to take everything so seriously.
My file is indeed quite funny. I just listened again.
If you're not the type to enjoy such nonsense Adam, please just ignore my posts. Thank you :)
The solo sounds inspired like that! I'd have been well impressed if Bri had come up with something so fucked up as that.
One time my band recorded this demo produced at his studio by a guy called Phil Johnstone (who produced, played, wrote and recorded with Robert Plant a lot on his solo albums), and he persuaded us to use this sort of effect on the backing vocals for one of our more hip-hop type songs. We called it the 'instant kids choir effect', and to this day I think it sounds shit, and wished we hadn't have used it. It's not surprising though really, 'cause some of those Plant albums are pretty awful.
Still, it indeed sounds funny.
Adam: Just forget it :)
Everyone else: I'm just discovering new stuff about my wave editor all the time. This was the first time I realized I could do the 'chipmunk' effect and yet keep the same tempo. Of course, it throws everything off a bit.
The solo really is bad that way IMO, though it adds to the overall charm. ;)
I'm much better at editing than I am with any type of 'mixing' though. I just wanted to make people laugh :)
I thought it was funny.. kinda reminds me of the time My band played it... In fact... wait a min.... Are you sure you just PLAYED with it in an editor? ;-)
