Mine is Fleetwood Mac's Rumours - not a song on there I don't mind listening to. There are so many songs on there I love such as Go Your Own Way, Silver Springs (in my opinion the greatest song of all time not to make an album first time around), The Chain and Don't Stop. I also love other albums by FM, The Beatles (Revolver is my #1 favourite), Oasis (Morning Glory) and Manic Street Preachers. |

I couldn't possibly answer. I'd have a hard time listing my 50 favorite albums, let alone one. But just a couple of great albums, in no particular order, that I think are solid from start to finish (and not even necessarily the artists' best): David Bowie - Hunky Dory Deep Purple - In Rock Charles Mingus - Mingus Ah Um Bob Dylan - Blood On The Tracks Katie Melua - Pictures Jackson Browne - Running On Empty Tom Petty - Highway Companion Dr. John - In The Right Place John Coltrane - Crescent Jethro Tull - Aqualung Paul Simon - Graceland Magna Carta - Lord Of The Ages Eric Dolphy - Iron Man Jean-Michel Jarre - Equinoxe Spinvis - tot ziens, Justine Keller Thin Lizzy - Johnny The Fox |

Extra credit if you can defend his cover of "God Only Knows". On a personal level I could call it MY best if I tune into the factors surrounding it (after all that's what this list is about). Very happy memories listening to it a couple of years after it came out on a rainy sunday where for that 40 minutes it became my new best friend. I'd happily go back to that room on that day and stay there with only Tonight for company. At that time it's worth noting there were only about 3 Bowie albums available in the shops everything else was out of print. Extra credit: Hadn't heard the original God Only Knows at that point. I liked the sentiment. And his voice tested out my woofers. And my young patience. |

^ haha. True dat. Point made here and in going on with lists is that 1) it's almost impossible for someone who loves music to love ONE album the most 2) the lists lead to some interesting things and potentially discussions. To answer the question DIRECTLY. ... NO. I CANNOT LIST ONE FAVORITE ALBUM (let alone a non Queen album...heck, Queen might not scrape the top ten! ). Cannot choose. It would fracture my mind. Depeche Mode - Songs of Faith and Devotion And as a total Alan Wilder fangirl, I'm happy to see them being inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame :-) |

A great song but not my favourite album by them. It's probably my least favourite of the 75-87 period. |

The first two LPs are excellent, Pyro is still very good - as is Hysteria. i think by the time they broke into the US market their sound started to dilute a little. Priest - great shout. Purple - agreed, but would also include, In Rock (epic LP) and Burn. |

I like "The Fox" Ringo and George produced consistently good solo stuff, think this stems from being released from the confines of "one composition per LP" for 8 years. Ringo's "Ringo", Goodnight Vienna" and Ringo Rama" are really good. |
