.........and thank Christ for that, we can all move on, pretend that fucking film never existed and get back to discussing what QPL are not and will never be releasing.
I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of QPL staff screaming: "Let's push the Greatest Hits albums AGAIN!"
But surely the Anthologies are coming soon, right? Right???
The anthology would be pushed further back now - any stray new purchasers would be scared off by a rarities package in their minds. You know - if they've found their way to HMV, I'm pretty sure they'll manage to judge if the £5 Greatest Hits or the £200 Rarities Box is aimed at them.
Lets discuss why Adam Lambert is shit for Queen then...... ooh yeah i forgot he aint Freddie!
Lets rename Queen to: "Adam & the twats" sounds better and more life like lol
I'm happy for them all the attention, awards, etc, but I doubt any good release will come out of it, sad really, it will be the same sh_t over and over again, tours and AL, nothing rare for the craving queen fans......
I’m afraid that silly season isn’t over quite yet. We still have the ‘Queen’ +Adam Lambert Rhapsody tour of the US yet to come in the Summer! :-(
Wasn’t there talk by Greg Brooks in that QP podcast that this year there will be a Freddie solo
Release -can’t think what this is as hasn’t all his solo material been released already in 2000?
Yeh - it was in that Greg Brooks podcast from 2018 a few months before the film came out.
Knowing how they operate though things probably have changed or the Freddie release may not be music but another bloody App game or a board game a la Queen monopoly set - maybe Queen cluedo? Professor Paul (Plum) Prenter gets killed by Freddie’s mikestand (candlestick) in one of the rooms of Garden Lodge. Colonel May (Mustard) the prime suspect..
i hope the FM Boxed set gets an official re-release... I never could afford one when it came out... the import price, having a credit card...all that stuff was impossible for this kid that I was.

I'm so glad it's over. Finally. After 4 damn months of nonsense
Not long til we get a sequel
Bohemian Rhapsody 2: Electric Boogaloo
John Deacon, leader of the band, decides to go full Hot Space style for the next 5 albums! Queen's popularity plunges and the gang splits up and abandons music. Brian disappears into the countryside to take care of badgers, Roger becomes a happily married odontologist and Freddie reopens his Kensington Market post to sell rags.
Is this site just full of fucking morons? Call yourselves Queen fans - Arseholes more like - Oh I've got more bootlegs than you - Oh I hate Adam - Oh Queen isn't Queen without Freddie - Get a fucking life QUEEN are still alive I'm sure the anthology will come once they are dead - I guess you are all waiting for BM & RMT to keel over how sad you lot are....
I think they deserve the attention from all over the world - no doubt about that. But the four Oscars the academy shoving up their asses are blocking the way out for a anthology box set.
The Show Must Go On documentary, 29th April, ABC......
The band goes from strength to strength after Freddie dies, maybe this is the version of the movie SBC was on about?
So, yes, the Freddie Mercury "The Solo Collection" 2000 box set should not only be re-released but released in the U.S. as it never was before. I certainly have never seen a used or import copy in a store that's for sure. Also the anthologies do not have to wait until whomever are dead. Sure they said that but that does not have to be the case. Some manner of this has been done on some level with "The Lot" by Roger Taylor although it genuinely was all previously released material. HENCE why I have said and will say again it would be mind-blowing if the music industry would use the Blu-Ray format for these massive compilations. Everyone should have each and every studio l.p. turned into these massive box sets. I do not think or believe most of the "Super Deluxe Editions" by anyone have really dove into artists' archives by any stretch of the imagination.

Can you elaborate what this "strength" is??? Doing endless nostalgia tours? Or teaming up with a goat?
I still would love to hear SBH about the movie

It's all about leveraging every related marketing and profit-making opportunity, without putting in (much, if any) new musical work. They're doing it because it's right there for the taking and a new generation of fans are discovering the existing scores of songs.
"Silly Season" is not really over, not yet. There's more promotion, more of the Q+AL tour, another documentary.
