Now this might sound like a dumb question did anybody create a COMPLETE (or "as complete as possible") list of all of the little occurrences of Hyde Park footage in official Queen (or BBC) releases?
I have created a list for myself more than a decade ago, after the 30th anniversary release of ANATO in 2005, but since then many more documentaries have been released, some of them as official Queen products, others were only aired on BBC (or both), and I know that many of them feature different bits of the Hyde Park footage?
Has anybody compiled a list of some kind?
I know off of the top of my head:
Audio wise: 2011 Extra Of ADATR (YTMBA)
Video:
The Champions 1979 (Sweer Lady)
The Magic Years 1987 - Volume 2 (FOTW, ‘39)
Champions Of The World 1995 (Same As Above)
The Making Of ANATO DVD (Various)
Days Of Our Lives 2011 DVD (BR, OG)
From Rags To Rhapsody BBC 2015 (YMBF)
A Night At The Odeon Doc (Short clips of audience during Bob’s closing speech.
That’s all for now :)

Also, there are some clips in the official STL video (short clips from Ogre Battle, Guitar Solo, The Prophet's Song, Liar and ITLOTG Revisited. :)

I will never forget that a radio station had plans to broadcast the show, because they were playing Hyde Park again in 2005. Planet Rock Radio, I believe.

Yes! Those were THE news... I wonder if Queen Productions knew about that broadcast ;)....
It was they who probably vetoed the broadcast.
Can't have a concert broadcast for free that could be released for profit later....
I don't think that was the reason. Hammersmith 1975 has been broadcasted hundreds of times before its official release. At least in the Netherlands, but most prbably also in the UK and other countries. Might be that these broadcast rights belonged to other parties, though.
I cant date this exactly, all I know is it was late 80's and probably not long after it first opened, but I went to MOMI in London (Museum of the moving image) on the South Bank. (I'll guess 1988)
As you go in (or went in, it has probably changed since then) there is an editing suite set up on the right hand side behind glass, It doesn't look like an exhibit, it looks like a working studio you can look in.
It's not really in the museum, it's just sort of there near the entrance but viewable from the lobby. Anyhow there was a guy sitting in there doing some work, and the day I went there, the film that was being worked on was Queen in Hyde Park. No idea if that was a fluke or if that was the tape they always had up there just for show, but it was playing away and being rewound. Unfortunately no sound, could only see the visuals. I didn't take that much notice, but all I remember thinking was, Oh good, they are bringing that out soon, I'd like to see that. Then year after year went by with no release and I kind of forgot about it.
Anyhow, point is, the master visuals existed and looked quite decent on the small screen they were using and it appeared that someone was working on it. So at some point they were looking at it for release. Or alternatively someone just thought it was good enough to have on a non marked exhibit at MOMI. I don't have a time machine so cant go back and tell my younger self to take more notice.
