Great idea look forward to the rest. If this contains everything that's 'out there' it will be a great addition to peoples collections. Thanks to all who are helping. |

really thank you for this, thank God that Queen have great fans that do this work, becouse if we need to wait to something official... |

Looks really promising. I will check it out now. I'm always interested in what the other fans come up with and what their visions and choices are when they make a sort of anthology set. Glad to help and looking forward to the rest. Thanks! |

a question AudioSynthesis, will you make a pre-Queen part? |
Thistle 07.07.2017 10:24 |
Cheers! I only drew up a list of stuff I was aware was out there already (and still need to check hard drives for stuff I may have) - but appreciated the mention lol. A solid start! I'm looking forward to see if there's anything made available that I've maybe missed. |

Another tip, the Queen on that "box cover" is not right This is the right way to do it, the "ueen" part should be smaller and each letter should be closer to one another, especially the Q and the u I've attached the improved cover below

I'm not certain about this, but considering that it was leaked at the same time as Polar Bear is compelling evidence in my opinion. I may start a poll to settle where this song will go in the final version of the set. |

Kuijpy wrote: This is something we allready have, where is the son and daughter shitless version? Different takes Great King Rat, other demo from KYA...Well, there was a whole thread about what to include before OP posted this. He was looking for advice, contributions etc....you could have posted there with your suggestions instead of moaning about what wasn't included here. Regarding the "shitless" version of S&D, it's just a single mix. That could be an entirely different volume. For what it's worth, I've always thought that lopping off a line because the Aussie market couldn't cope with the word "shit" was always...well...shit lol. |
BETA215 09.07.2017 15:19 |
@Kujipy Surely the demos you mention (excepting the shitless EDIT) are going to be included in another volume. Thanks for this, AudioSynthesis. |

If there was a serious go at the song for NOTW, I imagine work on it was discontinued once Sheer Heart Attack was included. I don't think the band would want two "old" songs on their new album. Just a theory. |

Queen used to play old songs in the studio as warm up. And why not record them just for fun? Still Silver Salmon could have been a candidate to be included in NOTW, why not?... no one would have known that it was an old song at that time, right? |

I think it's pretty obvious from this compilation why "Silver Salmon" hasn't been used on NOTW LP, or even on the recent 2 CD edition - it's not much of a song. Rather some rough prototype of a song which was tried but not developed into a proper song. Now, "Mad The Swine" does sound like a song, and unmistakably a Queen one at that. IMO that's why we were given "Mad The Swine" long ago, and "Silver Salmon" remains the tantalizing rarity - they just don't think much of its worth. Thank you AudioSynthesis, your compilation sounds enjoyable. Though it'd make every sense to present it in FLAC - MP3s are so "passe" by now. |

^ Don't you ever get tired of spewing shit? I mean, you surely have something better to do with those hours of your life that you spend in a website that makes you rage that way. You need help. Learn to play an instrument (or another if you play any), read a new book, breathe fresh air out of your house. Enjoy the winter (or summer, depending on which place you are), do something productive with your life, YOUR LIFE, and get outta here. |

RE Silver Salmon not appearing on the 2 disc version because it's a sketch of a song: There were quite a lot of demos and prototypes on the 2 disc set, some in worse shape than Silver Salmon. Not arguing, just pointing out. |
