I'm in a rock band and I've been listening to Queen all my life. My electric guitar playing is undoubtedly influenced by Brian May and my vocals give a nod to Freddie ;) I've begun an Accoustic project however and I'm trying to get the sound that Brian's guitar has at the beginning of Jealousy. Any thoughts or info about the recording of that song? It'd be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Main article: Jealousy (Queen song)
"Jealousy" was penned by Mercury and features May playing his Hairfred acoustic guitar placing small pieces of piano wire under the frets to produce the "buzzing" effect of a sitar. This effect had already been used on "White Queen (As It Began)", from Queen II. All vocals were recorded by Mercury.
Or.....find a sitar.
On Saturday the doctor confirmed (again) that he'd used it on 'The Night Comes Down' as well as 'Jealousy'. I've always suspected the first solo on 'Sail Away Sweet Sister' to also have been recorded with the Hallfredh.
