Hello, anyone under the age of 18? Im 13. |
princetom 23.11.2014 23:24 |
well, many people here behave like that. (for me... 18 was long, long ago, sry!) |
tomchristie22 24.11.2014 00:34 |
I'm 18. There's a few young people here, but it really doesn't make a difference to anything. There are quality posters here and some who are less so - age has no correlation with that. |
matt z 24.11.2014 01:34 |
Well. It's the internet. Good luck on getting an honest "yes I'm 13." Anywhere there. But... Nope. Seems most Queen die-hard fans are in their 40's- 50's???? I dunno. There's never been a poll taken here. (Good question that's never been asked) [Geez what IS the "mean" age of QZ participants? ] Welcome, newbie. There are TONS of resources here for fans old and new. Occasional concerts, great information resources (with what amounts to librarians here regarding live concerts) SOME fan artwork. .. some fan tributes, Good discussions, painfully unnecessary discussions, and outright trolling. Also the occasional twelve year bout with QUEEN PRODUCTIONS regarding their "DELAYED" "anthology" ... Anyways. Here? . Negative. I'm a bit older than that. Would be nice to be 13 again though. Effin Ay. |

I'm 15. But as tomchristie22 said: 'it really doesn't make a difference to anything'. |

I'm always surprised at how young the crowd skews at Queen gigs these days though. Lots of teenagers are into them. |

I was 13, when Queen formed. 1971. |
thomasquinn 32989 24.11.2014 11:46 |
It's been 13 years since I was 13. Does that count? |

(Good question that's never been asked) Welcome, newbie. .There was a poll about that a few of month ago...maybe a year ? Most users are about 30 - 55 years old. There a re a few users under 18 but not that much. Good job QZoners...now we get monitored by the FBI :) |
thomasquinn 32989 24.11.2014 13:42 |
Why? Do FBI-agents think they have a better chance if they hit on minors? |
pittrek 24.11.2014 13:50 |
I was 18... A long time ago... In a galaxy far, far away... |
matt z 24.11.2014 16:19 |
Do we get monitored? Haha. I doubt anybody would give a crap about such a reverent band fan site |
brunogorski 24.11.2014 16:44 |
And at this exact moment there are about 40 guys from FBI and Brian May reading our comments. Yahaaa!!! |

brunogorski wrote: And at this exact moment there are about 40 guys from FBI and Brian May reading our comments. Yahaaa!!!If that's the case then John AND Freddie are reading these comments. In which case I'll state again: John, May I please have one of your basses? It could even be the buzzard looking one from POTU ... doesn't HAVE to be your Fender P Bass. . But that would be nice. C'mon, you're not really doing much with em at the moment. Yours sincerely, Devoted fan Matt T. |

Your MM-Stingray Bass would be fine for me John ! But back on topic..actually I don't think this site is the best place for minors...try the official-site "QueenOnline.com" they have something like a Mod-Team. |

I'm 17, turning 18 in a little over a month. I started reading these forums when I was 13 and I believe posted with my first account when i was 14. I was also 14 when i started "collecting" (torrenting) Queen bootlegs. I have most shows but I'm probably never going to finish it. I know I'm only 18ish and that's young, but it's weird to think I started listening to Queen five years ago, seems like a very long time and it's crazy how much my life has changed. When I started reading here I was a 13 year old, shy, clean cut kid who was in a catholic middle school in a tiny little town in the middle of nowhere. Now I haven't cut my hair in years and am going to a huge high school in Houston. I go to concerts and music festivals and I look like a hippie. I never thought it would be like this. It's awesome. I don't really listen to Queen anymore. Still love them, crazy respect for them. Still think their first 5 albums are a sequence of some of the best and most interesting albums I've ever heard. Brian May is still the best guitar player I've ever heard. Queen II is like the holy grail of music for me. Probably haven't listened to it in over a year. I listen to a lot of different stuff now, not just classic rock. I listen to folk-punk and metalcore and it drives all the adults around me crazy and it's great. My mom thinks deathcore is the devils music and moshpits are scary, and she thinks rap isn't real music. I used to like Queen and Led Zeppelin and Meddle from Pink Floyd. There hasn't been an amazing album since 1976! That's what I thought, nothing good has happened for a long time and won't happen again. So I started listening to bootlegs to try and grab as much of that music as I could. Then a friend gave me an album called Hospice by a band called The Antlers, hey not bad, I like the sound. Then I heard an album called People Who Can Eat People Are The Luckiest People In The World by a folk-punk band, Andrew Jackson Jihad. I've never heard someone write and sing music like that, it was different. Then someone gave me Suicide Season by Bring Me The Horizon. It's so loud! How can you stand the screaming? I don't know. It's so angry, I've never heard someone scream. 40 minutes of desperate anger. It's amazing. I don't know what I'm on about, but I'm not going to delete all that now. It's just crazy how things can change. Love being a fan of music and don't be afraid of things that are different, or something. |

Surprisingly, I witnessed a lot of youngsters here in Louisiana tonight at the local showing of Queen Rock Montreal. Queen still translates to the younger crowd. It makes me happy. :) So, to the point, I'm sure they're around... |
tomchristie22 25.11.2014 01:28 |
There were a whole lot of young (as in <30) people at the Queen+Adam Lambert shows in Sydney. I was kinda surprised, as when I'd been to tribute concerts and the like in the past, I was almost always the youngest person there. |
DragonflyTrumpeter83 25.11.2014 02:42 |
Some kids know good/real music when they hear it, I guess! That's awesome! |
The King Of Rhye 25.11.2014 08:31 |
I did see a fair amount of young people at the Q+AL show in Auburn Hills.............(I was wondering how many of them were Adam fans, tho.....) Certainly nice to see that there's some young Queen fans here, though! I still think of myself as a young Queen fan, and I'm 37............:) |

I was 18 when I first joined Queenzone... back in 1999! |
tomchristie22 26.11.2014 05:36 |
The young people at the Sydney show seemed to be Queen fans as far as I could tell - one group who were on the tipsier side were making bowing motions at Brian during his guitar solo. Quite a literal and unabashed display of reverence! I honestly didn't know Queenzone existed as early as 1999... The earliest threads I'd seen were around 2004, so I presumed that must've been it. Have many members been around the whole time since then? |
