So who's buying Queen Forever?
| lalaalalaa 24.09.2014 18:31 |
I'm heavily disappointed I'm not buying another "Greatest Hits", even if the song list is different. |
| Elskidor 24.09.2014 19:33 |
I've heard they are altering and remixing the old tunes. Definitely worth checking out. ...I hope. |
| musicland munich 24.09.2014 23:21 |
Yes, I will buy a copy, but I really do hope that there will be some rework on the "new" tracks especially on Mr. Orbits mix. And I've also noticed an unnatural sounding spot on Let me in your Heart again. |
| lemonysnick123 25.09.2014 00:21 |
If there is some kind of difference to the songs and they're not just a compilation, then yes, I will be purchasing. |
| inu-liger 25.09.2014 01:55 |
I'll be getting it, along with Pink Floyd's "The Endless River" |
| emrabt 25.09.2014 02:27 |
I'll be getting Let me in to your heart again If it's a single, I won't be buying the album. |
| FlorianS 25.09.2014 02:36 |
If there are really alternative takes or new versions of of enoug Songs to make it interesting, then I will go for it. If it is just the same old tunes again + 3 'new' songs I will skip this. |
| dsmeer 25.09.2014 03:08 |
Does anybody know if "Let me in to your heart again" will be released as a single? If not I will have to buy the album...... |
| people on streets 25.09.2014 03:43 |
I don't buy cds Vinyl only for me. And only if it's a good mix mastered for vinyl. Otherwise : FLAC. |
| matt z 25.09.2014 05:24 |
Dubious. I'll wait and listen. Play it on the jukebox at the pub before I do. Sounds suspicious. Anything "new" doesn't seem to include instrumentation. I'm thinking the NEW slant was picked out by lawyers. Sounds more like you'll be getting DIFFERENT mixes of previously released material PLUS the 3 underwhelming songs that have been released. They talk about a recording industry in decline but theyholdoff on giving fans anything worthwhile. ... so it's a tricky thing. When I was a kid I would buy ANYTHING with QUEEN involved. But recently I guess I've either become a miser or just began using my brain on questionable titles. They FINALLY got me to buy the Wembley rerelease 3 years after because I saw it for $14 ... Milking the die hards... even omitting stuff on the recent island releases (scandal 12" beginning)... what'sthere to anticipate really? You'll have blended songs without their intro/outros.... makes me wonder if YTMBA will omit the swell at the end before LONG AWAY. Btw: ... fucking fantastic album. .. ADATR.... I don't see myself buying it. I may buy the mp3s of the new song to have a digital copy. Or maybe 4 years later I'll buy it for curiosity's sake in reading the liner notes |
| MrFunster 25.09.2014 05:25 |
I have the downloads already, so i dont need the album anymore |

I'll be buying it. |
| pittrek 25.09.2014 08:53 |
I plan to do the same thing as I do with all Queen compilations - if a cheap used version appears in a few months on ebay I'll grab it, otherwise I'll skip it. I skipped most of the compilations |
| andyb1968 25.09.2014 11:37 |
I refuse to be fleeced, I'll download lmiyha, but that's it. I will buy endless river, after all that's actually an album of new music ! |

I will buy that album. If I can buy it from my city. Because I have never buyed any Queen album. But if now I can, I will buy it with no doubts. |

I'm gonna buy a beer. |
| kdj2hot 25.09.2014 20:08 |
Fuck you assholes dissing it. New mixes and a couple of new takes on songs we never heard Brian and Roger tackle is good. I would've loved face it alone and maybe self made made and feelings and just other songs that were never given mainstream releases like even b sides like I go crazy or Hang on in there would've made it a Lil fresher especially to the casual audience |
| kdj2hot 25.09.2014 20:09 |
And how the fuck could i forget the Queen version of Man Made paradise. Shit what are they saving it for lol |
| matt z 25.09.2014 20:50 |
Not dissing it. Just probably not going to buy it. I already own all their albums excepting a few of Rogers. .. never bought the Biggles one either. I'll buy the 3 mp3s and probably play them on a jukebox at some point. THEY'LL GET SOME OF MY MONEY Sad thing is how it's underwhelming. That paired with the possibility that this may be the last chance to release rarities prior to some horrible end. The computation's been discussed for a long time. I'm disappointed not really by the selections, those are of course great. It's the new content. Guess we'll never hear SOUVENIR. |
| YAFF 25.09.2014 20:52 |
nope not me |
| queenUSA 25.09.2014 21:12 |
uh, iffy. |
| andyb1968 26.09.2014 01:36 |
Next project - a Brian ''the lot'' and another archive release, let's see how they fuck those up !!!! |
| gerry 26.09.2014 04:24 |
I am grateful we got at least one new track after 14 years but a Queen version of Freddies solo "Man made paradise" would have been great and exciting! i think by putting classic old tracks on the album, this was probably for all the new fans Queen have picked up on this year through the Adam Lambert gigs, but i still think the original Queen fans of 40 years like myself have been short changed. Come on Queen you could have been a bit more thoughtful and generous for freddies millions of fans. |
| jacksonmerc 26.09.2014 13:41 |
I'm gonna wait until after Christmas then buy it from a bargain bin at the petrol station |

matt z wrote: Dubious. A few remasters yes, but no new mixes. I admit that we haven't heard the full tracks yet however so I'm still hoping for some kind of suprise. |
| gerry 27.09.2014 12:21 |
Just heard all of the Queen Forever album and there is NO new recorded bits on the classic tracks. And there is remastered tracks from 2011 and 2014 plus the new 3 tracks. Money for old rope me thinks, how can Roger have said that they had a great album lined up? Queen fans are getting short changed yet again. |
