Since most times older collectible items aren't usually kept in very good shape over time by South American collectors (no offense to anyone, this is going by observations I've made over the years, especially concerning auction items), I'm going to have to go with the Dutch option.
As Inu-Liger said, I would go to Dutch option.
Even Im from Spain, and I have all stars as buyer in discogs, I only bought one thing to an spanish seller...
Of course, there are terrible sellers in every country...
My only not very good experiences, was with an spanish seller and other german, and in general, german sellers are good.
The problem is the records were described as near mint, and were VG.
Dutch for sure..... and the person who owns this is....
No... but there's a great soap story about how he got all these tapes. Lack of QP for sure.Fanclub meetings are great for these things... :-)

Things I learned from the movies No: 4,227...
Never have the reputation as the "fastest gun" because (even if it is not true - or one is in retirement) some guy around the corner - always wants to challenge you - and at the end of the movie it seems that the grave is the only place to find peace.
My point is that now "Ghostwithasmile" has trumped my hand, perhaps I can return to a back seat in the shadows and let him take all the Queenzone flack.
Never, ever underestimate the effects of "pester-power" just ask any parent...
I can't believe there haven't been more responses on this rather astonishing post.
There's potentially so much interesting stuff on those tapes that would have us all salivating.
Amongst other things, it's interesting that YMBF is missing from side 1 of the ANATO box. Presumably it was originally intended to be on side 2, which hadn't been compiled yet, or at least had but wasn't labelled on the box for some reason.

Please tell us the story then!!

well what I can tell that some tapes were sold and trade on the web and taken/stolen by the egineers and people of the studio. Often these were not copy of the master but just some copy's of reels left at the time at the various studios (wessex etc). Of course QP or the management never came back to the studio to Ensure everything was taken. Good example the recent story about the Budapest reels that were till 1996 at the MAFILM company, but never picked up.
Even at fanclub meetings there were several of thesetapes for sale/trade he years but QP never gave a toss to dug into this trading/selling at the conventions.

I'm sure I recall that the final version has a few takes spliced together in places?

Also it appears that more then one take of "Sleep on the Sidewalk" exists contrary to Dr May and yes I'm sure some here knew that already. End Quote.
Could it mean , I am talking about BM his statement that : the recording we can hear on the album was a complete take. So a unedited version (without pasting in chorusses or anything other) from other takes. Where can we find his statement that is was the first take on the album. Or a statement that it was 1 complete unaltered take (so without any other things pasted in from various other takes). Though Mike Stone is very funny at the beginning of the track !
So not necessary the first take featured on the album, but a complete unalternate take from the various recording takes....
Your thoughts please ...
Interesting find :)
ghostwithasmile, I'm sure I've heard an interview where Brian did state that the first take was never bettered and they used that one for the album. Now, it's very possible that there were overdubs on top of that main backing track. But, if you're looking for the nitty gritty, ask Brian on his site.
