Hopefully this is just a preview for the pending official release Brian May mentioned last week.
This show was part of a (limitedly available) official VHS release called "Live At The Rainbow" - a compilation of the two nights, although in mono sound. These three tracks are from an uncut stereo recording of the first night - a major upgrade that emerged in 2010. For many years these tracks were labeled as November 20, but the footage in the Days Of Our Lives documentary of the power going out during Liar was confirmed to be from the second night.
These tracks from the Trident reel-to-reel first saw the light of day in the 90s. They were intended to be broadcast on the radio in the 90s, and this copy comes from the tape that was given to the radio station. Earlier copies that circulated had more tape generations, and thus more tape hiss.
A couple small bits of speech between tracks were missing on this version (likely a digital copy error - let's keep in mind it was 90s CDRs, from a time when CD burning software regularly clipped beginnings and endings of songs), so I have mixed in the awol bits of Freddie's banter from one of the inferior copies. I also removed digi-clicks throughout the recording. Until this show is properly released, this is likely the best we'll ever hear for these three tracks. Essential listening.
Thanks to "Ghostofasmile" for making the tracks available to begin with.
Soundboard > Trident reel tape > pre-FM cassette > cassette > CDR (1) > WAV > GoldWave fix > FLAC level 8
1) Son And Daughter
2) Stone Cold Crazy
3) Liar link
Enjoy, and keep it lossless.
now I am confused... is this share different from the 3 track reel tape that has been shared before or is it just a re-share? Last year's version was 128MB - now this is 144 MB!
Merry Christmas to all at QZ!!!
Thanks
Thanks Real Wizzard,
I am trying to locate the original tapeI got back then and try and make a new transfer.
But expert question about SCC from this recording and the official video.
Clearly FM his speech is different on both recordings. So which speech (fm announcing scc) is from the first night and which speech is from the second night.
And for the real experts is this the same version off scc as on the video? They sound very simular but I never compared both... Hope someone can fill in this question.
Thanks Bob! Sounds good. I wonder if I should get Jimmy to remaster this a bit, make it shine more?
EDIT: Is it just me, or does Liar sound like it has some minor aliasing noise going on??
The download link is one of the two small yellow buttons if you scroll down the screen a bit.
I used the uptobox one (it's in English)
Then clicked the blue lettering which says...
You should click on the download link: link
(Clicking this link should also work)
Then click the small gey icon which says "free download"
All the bigger download buttons are to con you into downloading their software. "It's a trap!"
Geez, then enter the numbers and wait a minute for the download link to become available.
Then... "click here to start your download"
And hopefully, that is it.

Thank you so much.... It worked !!!
Thanks man ! I am 33 years old and couldn't get this thing working... megaupload and rapidshare were so much more easier...
No I am gonna delete that stupid software I downloaded, thinking I was downloading the recording.

I've transcribed them both on my website. Have a look !
It's mostly from the second night, and then it cuts to the first night. Audio-wise, anyway - apparently all the video is of the second night.
