PLEASE READ:
Hi, waunakonor here, I wanted to experiment with a little something, and see how this works.
I've seen things similar to this in other places and wanted to try it out here. What I'm doing is getting a consensus among fans on not just what the best song is, but what the ranking of all the songs are.
To do that, please vote for you LEAST FAVORITE song of Queen's debut album. After a couple days, I'll make a new poll with everything but the highest vote-getter and we'll vote for the worst song among the remainders. This will continue until we've got one finalist, the best song on the debut album.
Hope you'll play along here, and remember, vote for your LEAST FAVORITE song.
PrimeJive: I'm just doing songs that are actually on the album, sorry.
I'll just count that as a vote for Seven Seas. I thought this would probably happen. Again, I don't know how this will work out, I just wanted to try a little experiment.
Trust me to vote before reading the important post below the poll. -Sigh-.
I really like all of the songs. Seven Seas Of Rhye is the one that is least interesting for me, but I'm not sure that's even a fair judgement considering it's an embryonic instrumental of a song that they'd later release in glorious completion. I think I'll go with Jesus as my least favourite on here, I much prefer the De Lane Lea version.
With some people not reading the information below before voting, perhaps it would be better to rename the title of the topic to "worst" song? If that is possible to do.

Who in their right mind would start a poll called 'Best Song' then make the question 'choose your least favourite' song?!!?!??
Me! :)
Not very well thought out, I know.
I've seen the same thing done other places and it worked out pretty well, so I tried doing it here. Didn't work out as well as I had hoped. Maybe I'll get better results on the next poll.
Right now, it looks that, despite the confusion, Seven Seas of Rhye is winning by a strong margin (that's what I voted for). I'll give it another day then make another poll for everything besides that and do the same thing; hopefully everybody's got the idea by that point.

Why don't you call it a vote-out (or smth) instead of a poll?
Terrible phrasing of the question if you're trying to get good results. I doubt anybody would have voted Keep Yourself Alive as the "WORST/least favorite song" on the album
In the end it won't prove anything probably. But I'll play along
(Fave: Night Comes Down... BEST? Son and Daughter)
A more succinct interesting poll would be "best opening track on a Queen album"
Which would of course be either Death on Two Legs or Innuendo
Eh, I get what he's trying to do now, and SSOR seems to be the pretty clear loser, so there's plenty of opportunity for the next poll to have more clarity.
