That's just what I thought! I'm hoping for Long Away or Sail Away Sweet Sister at Hammersmith!! |

Besides LiR, it looks like everything is the same |

I wonder what else they're going to unearth during the next four shows. I have to say I would never have guessed this one in a million years! |
Bad Seed 03.07.2012 14:41 |
Vid's of the Moscow show are now on the queen section of Brian's site. Adam seems to have morphed into Paul Rodgers haha |

No innuendo ?? Ohhhh my god.... |
Final Destination 03.07.2012 15:18 |
Great set list! I thought that they would include I'm In Love With My Car or Tenement Funster for these four remaining shows. Looks like Roger's voice can't stand these anymore. :-( |
Wijnand 03.07.2012 15:19 |
Life is Real... So Real Who's expected that one?! Just saw the video, and instead of 'Lennon is a genious' she sang 'Freddie is a genious'... Nice one! |

It looks like Lambert flourished the songs a lot less in comparison to the Kiev show. I hope he diminishes it more and more until Hammersmith's second gig, 'cause I don't wanna regret flying from Brazil to England just to see them. Nicely done Life is Real, by the way! |
notimeforlosers 03.07.2012 19:10 |
Fairy Feller's Master Stroke, Son & Daughter, Death on Two Legs, Get Down Make Love and Liar during Dragon Attack bass solo. Nice! |
cacatua 03.07.2012 20:19 |
Just listened to STL at Moscow and though this recording was out there from the stage and no picture to speak of Adam's voice was pretty strong. I thought it was good. link Used to FB, so not sure what links do on here. |
tomchristie22 03.07.2012 21:28 |
He seems to have improved on this one, and Life Is Real was nice! But yeah it's a drag that the setlist is otherwise identical. |
tomchristie22 03.07.2012 21:31 |
Also, tell me if I'm missing something, but why are people expecting them to play Innuendo when they never have (aside from with Plant). |
99jaystang 03.07.2012 22:05 |
Love the "Freddie is a genius, living in every pore" line (LiR). Would love to hear Roger sing this for the rest of the shows. That song would suit his voice. |
brunogorski 03.07.2012 22:40 |
I guess Adam has been reading some of our comments here, i've heard some songs from Moscow and apparently he isn't abusing the vibrato as he did in Ukraine. |
cacatua 03.07.2012 22:50 |
Would love to hear Hammer To Fall and It's A Hard Life. From what I've been able to see of the Moscow show I have the impression that after plunge was taken in Kiev they were more relaxed here. I would imagine that between now and the UK shows they will work on it some more and should be much improved - sort of like beginning off Broadway and then bringing it home. |
cmsdrums 04.07.2012 01:11 |
It's A hard life would be nice, but unfortunately Queen were never a band to massively alter their setlist night after night, even at their height with Freddie, do people can't expect loads of Beene songs now for a short run of gigs with a new singer. I agree, changing the 'Lennon' to 'Freddie' was a nice touch, and as she turned to face Brian for it I'm wondering if it was unrehearsed and was a nice surprise for him. |
Daniel Nester 04.07.2012 01:15 |
Oh, Adam Lambert is TOTALLY reading the comments here. |

How funny. Brian has always blamed about cameras in the audience and now he promotes those videos himself. |
The Fairy King 04.07.2012 15:14 |
People are actually surprised they played better at the second gig? :') Btw thanks for posting the video! :) |
john bodega 05.07.2012 00:09 |
Honestly, I thought Innuendo would've been a good choice *shrug* Roger started doing a drum roll in the first show and I thought 'fuck they're gonna do it'. I was disappointed. Haven't heard the whole show yet but it's sounding better. It's like we were all fuckin' saying - if he dicks around less, he's a respectable singer. Now if we can just get Roger to a gym. |

Ah fucking quoting stuff. Not willing to retype that, and it won't come back if I return to the previous page. In short - you gave the impression of almost ASSUMING they would play it. |
Fone Bone 05.07.2012 06:34 |
Been watching those good quality YouTube vids The old guys are great and regarding Adam - Less nerves - Less oversinging - Fewer pitch problems - Better connection with the audience and the band The kid is getting better (and he could always sing) Now you have to like the hammy Broadway delivery, the way you had to like the PR blues-rock delivery. Hammersmith should be really nice if AL stays on this learning curve |
cacatua 05.07.2012 08:31 |
Phone Bone said: "Now you have to like the hammy Broadway delivery........." Yeah....I watched one of those excellent youtube videos of I Want It All from Moscow yesterday. Cringe. I like Adam and have hoped for this collaboration, but to sing with Queen he really needs to work on delivery. IWIA needs Growl (that's gutteral, not a scream) and the attitude to go with it. I give him leeway to become comfortable enough with the material that he can concentrate more on some of these things, but it can be painful to watch at times. |
GratefulFan 05.07.2012 11:05 |
People have been saying some version of "...if only Adam would do/have/be..." for two or three years now. He didn't bloom like ragweed from nothing on American Idol; he's been at this for years and years. He is who he is, he sings how he sings, and though I'd welcome a miraculous evolution as much as the next person there is no particular reason to expect it at this point. I suspect a bit of an overweening belief in himself limits the amount of constructive criticism he takes on board, and he may share my suspicion that if he stopped all the nonsense people would notice that at the heart of it he's a just a pretty standard theatre performer. Very good, but not particularly uncommon. |
Daniel Nester 05.07.2012 12:04 |
If only AL's album sold more and he had more fans, you know? It's just disappointing all around. |

I guess to some extent it depends on how much Adam wants to be associated with Queen. I think he's likely found it to be less than a piece of cake, but is he willing to do what it takes to make it work, or at least to make it work as good as it can? We'll see if you are right Grateful Fan. I think they can make something of this if Adam is willing to reinvent himself for the sake of it, even if he is just playing the part. I think right now he is having a little trouble deciding just who he is, and Freddie's ghost looms large. I see uncertainty and reliance on posturing, where I'd like to see him convincing me that he feels the song. BUT I give him the benefit of the doubt because I think he is still having to think consciously about what comes next much of the time instead of putting his focus on selling it. I've seen the occasional comment saying they would rather see Martel up there, but the object of this isn't for Queen to be their own tribute band either. I'm curious to see how this experiment goes. I'm glad Brian and Roger are trying something while they are still able. I see Brian is complaining about his knee now. |
Martin Packer 05.07.2012 13:34 |
To me the most important thing is who Brian and Roger want to work with. In that regard I'm quite happy they're working with Adam, worked with Paul and Kerry, and I hope they collaborate with others as they see fit. And if they want to work on their own and together, I'd not object to that. And (with the exception of Brian solo) I've seen the tours / concerts resulting from those collaborations - and fully expect to enjoy seeing them with Adam on 12th July (and I'm bringing my daughter to that one - even though she is more interested in AL than in B and R). |
