Comment: I was standing right from the catwalk (first row) and unfortunately, only two minutes before the show I realized my SP-CMC-8 mics weren't working. I tried to restart the recorder and also switch my battery module off and use mic-in instead of line-in but didn't succeed either; something was wrong with the mics. So with only seconds left before the start of the show I had just one choice - use the internal microphones of the Edirol R-09 HR recorder (there was no time for adjusting any of the settings), stick it into my bag and hope that *something* will be recorded. Considering how stressful the conditions were, I was surprised the result was actually very good - almost VG+ if it wasn't for quite a lot of audience noise (and btw. that's NOT me singing - all those people singing and talking were German speaking people :-). Thanks for this! I was wondering if I have your recording already but that version I have sounds different although lot of the tracks are divided in the very same way (the same length) and that's why I was confused ;-) |

Very nice art work, Ale. The German name for Vienna is Wien, though and not "wiener". "Wiener" is the name for a person from Vienna - like for example "Londoner" or a thing coming from Vienna - for example the "Wiener Würstchen" (Vienna sausage). From this origin Wiener in short is often used for the male penis in English usage ;-) Which makes me wonder.... |

I was wondering about the real definition for Wiener or Vienna and I suspected that "Wiener Stadthalle" meant Vienna Stadium / Hall (Arena) but then I forgot to ask a German speaker what it was correct... Weiner is sausage in some English usage but I guess it's a "deformation" from Wiener, I'll correct the artwork in a bit ; ) |
