The Freddie Mercury Tribute in 1992 doesn't feature Freddie either,it has nothing to do if it features Freddie or not or if it is a tribute or not,it's a commercial release my friend.

From reading this thread, all I can say is... RIP buying CDs.
As far as the Average Joe is concerned, indeed :-(
I'm however still trying to do my part :-)
Partly to upgrade from lossy copies of whatever music I've had over the years - even getting vinyls off auction if CD's are either non-existant or extremely hard to find.
It was a different male lead vocalist, but I sure hope this OFFICIAL cd/dvd is better then the live performance I saw some weeks ago... Howevermuch I can appreciate them having the guts to try and perform this, and I know how difficult some parts are, what I saw that night was truly utterly HORRIBLE!

To me it's the other way around.
I prefer original vinyl LPs and when they are hard to find / too expensive / shitty quality I trie to get a lossless cd copy. CDs have never been my cup of tea...

Cool... gotta love the analog purist.
Some experts say that CDs will be gone in 15-20 years - the masses will go digital, while the audiophiles will go back to vinyl.

I think it was only the same soprano, Jeroen. The tenor and the choir came from Norway, no idea where the band came from but it was not the Ukrainian symphonic orchestra;)

Here is a 30 second sample of one of the songs in case anyone wants to buy it. I hope this is ok to do?
