Hi All, what a great night it was at the o2 "Indigo2" London, last night. The SAS band were on top form. All guests were great, even Roy Wood losing his voice during "I wish it could be Christmas every day" (in January!!!! I know) did not spoil the show. In my opinion, not being a biased Queen Fan at all ;-) the best bit was the Queen Set & of course, when Roger took to the stage. The Queen tracks:- First Queen Track of the night was by the Opening Act "Crash" World Super Bike Champion "James Toseland's" Band, performing the track. "Fat Bottomed Girls" The SAS band then came to the stage & a few tracks in, Jeff Scott Soto sang vocals to "Tie Your Mother Down" The band later performed the 28 riffs medley, featuring snippets from "Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are The Champions & Seven Seas Of Rhye" Later came the Queen Set, kicking off with Jeff Scott Soto singing & Jamie Moses on 12 string Acoustic Guitar doing a rendition of "Love Of My Life" Next was JSS singing "Don't Stop Me Now" Now the moment that we all had been waiting for, Roger Taylor & Patti Russo, took to the stage and sang "Under Pressure" Roger then announced his Son Rufus, who then took to the second drum kit & then did the track "Tenement Funster", next track was "A kind of Magic" followed by a different take on "Cosmos Rockin" ( sounded a bit strange to hear Roger sing it) Roger then took to the Drum kit & both father & son played drums to "We Will Rock You" Started off by James Toseland. Last Queen Track of the night was "We Are The Champions" again with Roger on the Drums. If you have not seen the SAS band, you are missing a treat, "Go see 'em" Queen Highlights from the show:- http://rapidshare.com/files/189023570/SAS_Highlights.flac I have the complete full show, in lossless. if anyone wants to trade please PM me :-) |

Great to hear Roger do Cosmos Rockin' - even though the backing band sounds like a third rate pub band. Too bad they didn't add Under Pressure and Tenement Funster to the QPR 2008 tour setlist. |

oh-ja wrote: fuckin' compilation ... what a waste of time. The post DOES quite clearly state "Highlights". In English, that means "The best bits" and doesn't necessarily mean a COMPLETE version of the best bits. If you want a full copy you have two choices: 1) Go back in time and record it yourself or 2) Take advantage of the recordists TRADE OFFER!!!! |

And, if I may be so bold: 3) Refine your English skills before slamming forum contributors who went out of their way to tape a show and aren't hoarding it. |

Any SAS Band fans out there? Here's a little bit that I recorded with my tiny microphone... which was almost confiscated by a fat bitch ooops lady who worked in the venue. link |
YourValentine 10.02.2009 09:08 |
Hmm, I cannot play this at all (28 riff o.) - not even with VU player. |
Mr. Scully 10.02.2009 12:02 |
Ah, must be the 24bit thing again. I can play it everywhere without problems but it's possible that some computers can't handle 24bit audio files. I will reencode and reupload it. (And I'm sending you a package somewhen next week anyway). |
Mr. Scully 10.02.2009 15:14 |
This is the 16bit version: link |
