well i must say some people are missing out on this as i don't think it is your usual vhs rip looks like an digital master recording 1st class quality in fact the best i've seen(better than orginal vhs release)sound is the best too
wow! that sounds VERY interesting... can anyone else give an opinion on whether or not this is an upgrade to the version that's generally floating around?
There is a question about the quality on the torrent site - whether it is from a "Box of Tricks" original or a copy, but he has not answered so far .........
Don't want to d/l only to find it's from a
3rd / 4th - generation copy ........
hi if anybody is a member of that site that as the rainbow show could you please send me an invitation code i would be very gratefull
thanks in advance
You can download from Demonoid without being a member and the Rainbow share is a VHS rip, probably the same that has been sold on the English convention for years. We cannot share it on QZ because it's official but we can talk about it.
I'm not sure if it's the same one. I have a sneaking suspicion that it's a new rip. I'm downloading it now - when I get a chance to see it and compare it with the old one I'll give my 2 cents.

yes i know you don't need to be a member but they have other things i want and because they are older torrents you need to be a MEMBER TO ACCESS THEM!!!!!!THAT IS WHY I WOULD LIKE A INVITATION CODE.........PLUS IF YOU DON'T SEED THEY REMOVE YOU..
What the hell is the excitement about ?
I've downloaded a part of it and I deleted it, because it sucks. It's a normal VHS rip created with a DVD recorder, and it's full of grain and noise, somebody forgot to clean the heads before the recording.
Even my personal rip looks slightly better.
Why don't you try to find the official VHS tape instead of this ?

I agree with Pittrek. Having spent considerable
computer resources downloading this "dvd", I can
now see that it is badly-done, a very amateurish
effort. There is no menu and the picture quality
is such that it could be a 2nd/3rd gen copy from
the "Box of Tricks" master.
Also, the uploader is very rude and ignorant -
has not answered a question about the vhs source.
Plus, it could be NTSC instead of PAl - again, no
info !!
This will be deleted from my computer .....
WELL I MUST ADMIT THAT I HAVE JUST BURNED IT TO DVD AND IT IS CRAP QUALITY,OH SORRY I WAS JUST WATCHING IT ON MY KIDS PC WHICH IS OF VERY LOW SPEC(SO YOU HAVE BEEN WATCHING IT ON A LOW SPEC PC'S AS WELL TRY WATCHING ON A DECENT PC OR DVD PLAYER,SORRY YOU CAN'T CAN YOU AS YOU'VE DELETED IT)......JUST PUT IT ON MINE WOW 1ST CLASS RECORDING MOST ENJOYABLE.........THIS IS PERFECT FOR ANYBODY WHO WANTS A 1ST CLASS RECORDING...FOR EVERYBODY ELSE YOU CAN KISS MY ARSE GOODBYEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I was happy to finally have a VHS quality version, since I own the tape and can't play it. Quality was quite good I thought. A bit grainy but I have nothing to compare it to except crappy VCD versions which it blows away.
But finally seeing the show, I must say it's a piece of shite. Chopped up like mad. Oh well.
btw thanks for the heads up andy
Edit: Some details: It's got one of those ugly DVD recorder menus. Then a whole bunch of black screen followed by a fake FBI warning from another DVD, then it cuts to Rainbow.. runs like 53 mins, is mono, at the end it's copyright 1992 Queen Films.
Hmm... I have a "Live At The Rainbow" DVD, 53 min, 3.7 GB, in 4:3 NTSC format, with AC3 48kHz 2ch audio (probably mono though). The cover looks similar to the original VHS, the disc itself is home made with no label.
My version seems to be a lot better than the Rainbow 1974 DVD I got from the hub, but can anybody give me an advice how to find out about the real quality? I know that AC3 is lossy... does anybody have lossless audio?
