Thank you very much! |
Vali 14.05.2008 14:10 |
hey many thanks, I only had mp3's of this songs! But, could anybody confirm wether my account at rapidshare.com is valid for rapidhsare.de? I don't thinks so, uh? And at rapidhsare.de I cannot download it as "free" because everytime it says I've exceeded my free downloading limit (and no "wait 1 minute" message works!) so if anybody could post this at rapidshare.com or mediafare, that would be great. many tks ! |

Vali wrote: hey many thanks, I only had mp3's of this songs! But, could anybody confirm wether my account at rapidshare.com is valid for rapidhsare.de?Exactly the same problem - my .com account is not recognised on .de . But THANKS for the upload, I'll wait |
daffy_the_duck 14.05.2008 14:54 |
Same "prob" here, uncompatible but thanks for sharing |
dobo 14.05.2008 16:50 |
I would of posted on Rapidshare.com but my connection there was really crap it would take 4 hours to upload 100mb but on rapidshare.de it took 35 mins so i chose rapidshare.de, if anyone wants to re-up on rapidshare.com thats fine with me |
Deacon Fan 14.05.2008 17:09 |
Thanks for these. Alex Solan had only shared the mp3 versions with me, so this is a nice upgrade :) And thanks for using the .de Rapidshare. it works so much better than .com. No fucking cats! |
The Real Wizard 14.05.2008 19:17 |
Interesting... thanks for the share. It's the same as the old mp3s... they've just had hiss reduction done to them, but very well done. |
RoyThomasBaker 14.05.2008 22:17 |
Thanks a lot |
Adam Baboolal 14.05.2008 22:30 |
Could someone upload the 2nd part in mediafire? Thanks, Adam. |
pittrek 15.05.2008 01:38 |
I have finally downloaded it. Thanks a lot. If somebody wants a reupload, I can do it tomorrow. |
Adam Baboolal 15.05.2008 08:11 |
link - Part 1 link - Part 2 Can I just ask...why does everyone use rapidshare when sharing big stuff here? Adam. |

Adam Baboolal wrote: link - Part 1 link - Part 2 Can I just ask...why does everyone use rapidshare when sharing big stuff here? Adam.Every sharing system has its pros and cons: rapidshare it's "safer" to keep some stuff among 30 days with no activity but for those with static IPs it's a pain in the ass and wait more than an hour to download. Mediafire is quicker to download, you can get more than one downloaded at the same time etc etc but after a few days (less than 15 maybe) you could find your files deleted for unknown reasons. Still the best way to share big files is torrent and the best client ever for it it's µTorrent - link Period. |
Adam Baboolal 15.05.2008 16:06 |
Just as an aside here - I've got a mediafire account (free) with files from last year that have had no activity on them for a very long time and they're still there. So, the only logical reason to have something deleted is if they look at it and think it's a no-no item. I've had that with a Queen GH book in pdf and the *ahem* BoRhap incident. Adam. P.S. More on subject here - are these definitely uncompressed sourced? At the end of the file I can hear some swishing in the sound. Maybe I should check them against my old MP3 versions. |

Adam Baboolal 15.05.2008 18:46 |
YUCK! So, in other words, this thread is bad. I thought I was downloading Flac versions. Not MP3'd flacs. Thought that was outlawed here ;) Adam. |
dobo 16.05.2008 08:51 |
These are taken straight from the DQA disc, so if these are indeed FLAC'd MP3 then its there fault, however i am sorry for sharing them here, although some people havn't heard these before |

Well I'm also not glad that they're lossy, but thanks anyway |
YourValentine 16.05.2008 11:52 |
Can anyone please show me why these are supposed to be mp3 sourced? They look okay to me in frequency analysis. |

However I don't think it's 100% reliable I've just checked the frequency analysis of Staying Power while listening to the song itself. The sound drops in many places, not only in the 16kHz area. Also the high frequencies jump up every time the real snare drums kick in, which seams reasonable to me. That's definitely not a behaviour of an mp3, which has a huge frequency gap during the whole song and approx. in 16kHz area. Personaly I don't think at least Staying Power is mp3 sourced. If I find the time I can check all the other songs |
pittrek 16.05.2008 12:08 |
Sorry for the offtopic YourValentine, but I see that you have SpywareBlaster installed. Is it good ? :-) |
YourValentine 16.05.2008 12:15 |
Lol, I gave away more than I wanted:) Yes, I think it's good. I only checked Staying Power and it does not look or sound like an mp3 source to me. Attached is a definite mp3 sourced wav ( I converted it myself from mp3 to wav), it looks different, doesn't it? |
Ale Solan 16.05.2008 12:24 |
Track No01.wav: track looks like MPEG with probability 95%. Track No02.wav: track looks like MPEG with probability 95%. Track No03.wav: track looks like MPEG with probability 95%. Track No04.wav: track looks like MPEG with probability 95%. Track No05.wav: track looks like MPEG with probability 95%. Track No06.wav: track looks like MPEG with probability 95%. Track No07.wav: track looks like CDDA with probability 94%. Non of these apps are actually reliable, only your own ears. In this case to Trader's Little Helper only Cool Cat seems loseless. The rest is lossy which it sounds quite accurate to me. |
Ale Solan 16.05.2008 12:29 |
Staying Power is lossy, definately. |
seba_979 17.05.2008 05:36 |
Artwork please. Thank You.! |
YourValentine 17.05.2008 07:38 |
I am not sure if I can trust my ears about mp3 source. Years ago I learnt to identify mp3 sourced wavs with CEP spectral view: an mp3 looks clearly "cut" at 16000 Hz, there is nothing to see. example: |
YourValentine 17.05.2008 07:40 |
Here is the same spectral viiew for Staying Power - there is definitely something above the 16000 Hz level, can someone explain it, please? |
Ale Solan 17.05.2008 08:30 |
Well, my spectral view for this particular song shows a cutoff at 16 khz proving an mp3 source and that something above 16 khz (just an opinion, I'd like to know the point of view of someone who really knows about this kinda analysis) seems like a frequency leftover from a previous MP3 VRB encoding (between 256 and 320 kbps) This song still seems lossy to me. |
seba_979 18.05.2008 05:44 |
Hello, can anyone please share the artwork of this? Thank You.! |
Arnaldo "Ogre-" Silveira 18.05.2008 10:20 |
Thank you! I can't really help in the tech discussion, but these do sound nicer than the ones I previously had. Cheers, Ogre- |
oh-ja 19.05.2008 05:42 |
thanx anyway, dobo! ha-jo |
pittrek 19.05.2008 10:58 |
Alex - I can't agree. An mp3 would never have so much audio information above 16kHz |
Ale Solan 19.05.2008 12:16 |
pittrek wrote: Alex - I can't agree. An mp3 would never have so much audio information above 16kHzIs not really much, let's say barely a 1% of the whole information. Moreover, that cutoff at 16 khz it's the behavior of an mp3. Anyone else could give their opinion about this? |
The Real Wizard 19.05.2008 21:49 |
It's very easy to pass off an mp3 file as WAV. All you need to do is play the file in something like WinAmp and record it in real time in a WAV editor. There is no chance that this bootleg company had a new source tape. They did some hiss reduction, and that's about it. But sometimes the best judge is your ears. Listen to Las Palabras as it fades out... you can hear the sound getting a bit "digital". |
Ale Solan 19.05.2008 22:02 |
Sir GHyeah, in this case you can notice that |
tassilo 23.05.2008 04:42 |
Thanks! |
Wilki Amieva 25.06.2008 08:28 |
Hmmm. I believe most of the songs were only distributed in mp3 in the first place, so there is virtually no chance of them being lossless - the exceptions being Feel Like (ripped straightly from Greg's infamous "Convention CD" - although this version seems lossy to me) and Cool Cat (originally from the US LP test pressing, but this version 'remastered' from any of the 1991 or later CD bootlegs that carry it - I recognise the noise pattern). |
Larsen 26.06.2008 09:15 |
Outstanding quality indeed! Thanks a lot! |
