hello all of you. what do you think of the music nirvana. has anybody seen the film kurt cobain about a son. with queen it’s late. kurt listen a lot to queen in his early years so i think nirvana could be mentioned in here. another fact music of queen is used in the film. some songs are good. 1.smells like teen spirit,1991 2.come as you are,1992 3.lithium,1992 4.in bloom,1992 5.something in the way,1991 6.sliver,1992 7.jesus wants me for a sunbeam,1993 8.all apologies,1993 9.about a girl,1994 10.david bowie cover the man who sold the world,1994 personaly i think kurt was killed 5 april 1994. not a suicide. 1.look at the documentary kurt and courtney 1998 2.no fingerprints on the weapon. 3.el duce says suspiciuos things and is 8 days late dead by a train. 4.kurt had a lot of ideas. 5.kurt wants to change his will and devorce. 6.the investigation was just started 1n 1994 and not solved and labeled suicide. 7.from 1994 until know 3 more people from the inverment of kurt and courtney are dead too. 8.people who knew kurt were threatened. 9.courtney gaines succes in 1994 and after. 10.the amount of drugs was too much to kill him self. that are 10 facts i don’t believe kurt cobain had killed him self. greetings |

This topic definitely doesn't belong in this section. But, to stay on topic, they're alright. I listen to them every once and a while. People do dwell on the topic of Cobain's death though. It was waaay long ago, and it's not like it's going to make any difference anyway what everyone thinks happened. |

I am a fan of Kurt Cobain and Nirvana. I am sure that a lot of people here are. It appears that he was influenced by Queen a lot as well, so your post definitely belongs here. |

They sound okay. I prefer Foo Fighters, though. It wasn't murder, it was suicide. Maybe due to all the pressure some people *cough*Courtney*cough* put on him, but he shot the gun. |

I really liked their first album 'Bleach'. 'Nevermind' of course was the album that changed the entire direction of mainstream music in the 90s, and a great one. I didn't dig 'In Utero', although I admit that it has some of Nirvana's most brilliant songs, but some of their most mediocre as well. |

breakthru1989 wrote some stuffHello Innuendo1990, I'm glad you stuck around, But I have to disagree with your theory, and here's why: 1.look at the documentary kurt and courtney 1998 No. We don't want to have TWO suicides do we? Please don't make me watch it. 2.no fingerprints on the weapon. The glove didn't fit either, yet OJ probably did it. 3.el duce says suspiciuos things and is 8 days late dead by a train. I have no idea what you're talking about. Should have jumped outta the way. 4.kurt had a lot of ideas. No, he had one idea. He just changed the key a few times and called them songs. 5.kurt wants to change his will and devorce. Name one celebrity that doesn't. 6.the investigation was just started 1n 1994 and not solved and labeled suicide. I'd say it was solved. 7.from 1994 until know 3 more people from the inverment of kurt and courtney are dead too. From 1994 until now, 4 people in my family have died. My Grandma, father, cousin, and Aunt. None of them ever listened to Nirvana. 8.people who knew kurt were threatened. ...to stop playing that crappy music!!! (insert "rim shot" here) 9.courtney gaines succes in 1994 and after. If that's success, give me failure... every time. 10.the amount of drugs was too much to kill him self. You show me too much, and I'll show you a good time. |

Ummm...I was listening to Nirvana almost 4 years ago. They are alright, but I really can't listen to them anymore. Songs are really depressed, I don't like it. Plus my brother started listening to them 2 years back, so there's another reason why I'm not so into Nirvana anymore.lol. Thanks to Kurt my birthday became mourning day. About clone thing. I think this isn't innuendo1990 he would write: it,s not it's.lol One more thing, killed? No way, he was pretty fucked up and by his words:"I hate myself and I want to die" you can see where he was going. |

Nirvana - Without question, one of the most over-rated bands of all time. Who, in 2007, as a first time Nirvana listener, and with even a slight awareness of what has been going on in rock music in the past 15 years, would say this is good? I am still a sucker for a good riff, and I have not heard one yet out of this band. The songs are subpar, forgettable. It seems to me that their entire popularity rests on one guy being in the right place at the right time. And ten years after his death, I am still not impressed. Alice in Chains and Soundgarden get so little respect for the subversion of cheesy 80's music in comparison to Nirvana. Maybe that is irrelevant, but listen to the songs. Those bands just wrote better music. You want "Dark and Brooding," listen to "Bleed the Freak" off Facelift . It is infinitely more memorable than any Nirvana song. You want heavy? "It Ain't Like That," Facelift. "Room 1000 Years Wide" from Badmotorfinger . "Fourth of July," Superunknown . Heart-wrenchingly depressing? "Nutshell," Jar of Flies. And AIC's "Down in a Hole" from Dirt is in serious contention for the best song ever. Nirvana never came anywhere near writing anything that good. And before you rebut, "they are not comparable," I am not comparing them strictly musically, but contextually. For bands from the Northwest in the early 90's that everyone goes crazy about, people have got it ALL wrong. Nirvana = crappy songs, boring riffs, subpar musicianship, stupid lyrics, annoying singer. Kurt Cobain was the Britney Spears of the early 90's. The stuff that Dave Grohl has done with Foo Fighters, especially the lastest record, is far and away superior to anything that Nirvana ever did as a collective. |

another thing nirvana climbed the charts in the world in the year 1992. i wonder did they ever play a queen song live during their concerts. guns n roses did that in 1992. metallica recorde stone cold crazy in 1991 as an b side to the hit enter sandman. queensryche innuendo in 2007 paul de leeuw bohemian rhapsody in 2001 (i think) did michael jackson sing an queen song in one of his gigs. u2 played we will rock you i thought i saw that on youtube months ago. extreme and def leppard played queen. i thought i’d mention these artists from 1992 who played queen or recorded in the studio. 1992 15 years ago. i say this because of the freddie mercury tribute in 1992. therefor i’d wanna hear music from 1992. but not inner circle, boy ii men,u96,2 unlimited dr alban. to name just a few. |
