On Saturday I should be seeing Russell Brand live, but apparently it's been cancelled, so I might be seeing The Mighty Boosh DJ instead. And... on the 13th and the 25th I'm going to see Robots In Disguise live. I think that's all I've got planned at the minute. |

Haha. Good to see Lydon invalidate everything he ever said in the 70's by having tickets that are 'too steep' for some people. |

the Cult -- 5 gigs in November, Baltimore, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland the tickets aren't on sale yet as far as I know, and there's some scheduling at work to be decided, but bring on the DIRTY LITTLE ROCKSTAR |

Maybe the use of the word is changing. I also thought that the question was directed to the musicians here. I have a really old and huge Websters Dictionary from the 1950's and the definition of gig (as a job for musicians) is not there, although it has many other meanings. In my 1995 Websters, the definition is: 1. a single professional engagement, usu. of short duration, as of jazz or rock musicians. 2. any job esp. one of short or uncertain duration. 3. to work as a musician, esp. in a single engagement [1925-30 orig. uncert.] |

After checking out the YouTube clips I have to say that I was mindblown, and that's from regular cameras with low quality picture and sound. I recently moved out and I'm tight with money. Otherwise, I wouldn't have minded spending over 1000 bucks for an unforgettable experience. After all, you only live once. I'm more than looking forward to the DVD release. Last time I checked it was said that it might be released for the holidays. |

Even the Support acts were exceptional. The Streets and Dirty Pretty things was awesome! And they had Zane Low doing the DJing which was great.<font color=crimson>Rockit?<h6>xo wrote:Lucky bastard! They had all kinds of lights that were in the shape of satelites - it truly was unimaginable. =D [And i only got the tickets by chance..found them online whilst browsing the ticket sites, and bought the tickets that hour..=P ] |
