I just watched mine a couple times now since I got it,and it was better than the OVATION TV broadcast one they shown.
Clear picture, great audio and even all those other cut out scenes of Freddie and the band playing like Tear It Up,the other songs he sung between tutti and frutti and that crazy one doing a little shirt strip singing Big Spender, lol.
And the 2nd Disc was great as well. A great DVD for a legendary concert.
When I first got the DVD I was obsessed, but nowadays I don't find myself watching it. Either it's because I've lost interest or I just don't have that kind of time anymore.
I bought the VHS cassette like back in 92 or 93 and just recently like a year or so ago bought the DVD. So on DVD I've seen it 5 to 6 times but probably 50 or more times back when I just had the tape.
About 10 times. Meh, I don't know, I was never really counting. I haven't watched it in over a year though... In fact I haven't watched any of my Queen DVDs in over a year.
I haven't purchased the DVD yet, however, I've watched several clips on youtube, over and over and over again....
For some reason, I seem to be particularly fascinated with the whole Tutti Frutti, You're So Square, Marylou segment...
Going to purchase it next month...

I lost count after the first maybe 150?
who honestly counts?
I didn't ever watch it after the TV broadcast of that and the Budapest show; set lists are so similar and the band so boringly mundant that it wasn't worth it.
I did watch the DVD extras though which were mildly interesting.......
Apathy's set in with me I'm afraid!
Not sure how often but it's a joy to watch whether in full or just a couple of songs.
I have a question for the posters here who said it was 'boring'. While I respect your opinion, are you saying it bores you in relation to only other Queen gigs or rock concerts in general? I've seen a fair number of concerts both live and on DVD and I wouldn't say any of them match the excitement, professionalism and entertainment value of a Queen show-you either have VERY high standards or are impossible to satisfy!

Boring by Queen standards IMHO (but still better than most other bands'). It has such a scant set list, Freddie's vocal troubles make my throat hurt to listen to it, etc.

I loved it when I saw it for the first time, but now when I know other setlists, I think the wembley 86 is boring both performance-wise and setlist-wise
of course wembley (in fact the whole 86 tour) is boring - from a setlist point of view.
86 was queen's biggest stadium tour - so it was setup to have mass appeal. ie for the casual as well as serious fan.
what you get is a "greatest hits" show
Fair enough, thanks for replying guys.
I suppose they had to make some concessions due to the fact that they were going to be playing to a lot of people who may have only got into them since Live Aid and wanted to hear the 'big hits'. In addition, they may have also chosen songs that could be sung regularly and comfortably by Freddie. The performances of Killer Queen and It's a Hard Life on the 1985 Tokyo DVD were probably evidence enough to remove those songs from future setlists.
Hi,
Well just before Made in Heaven came out, it was on C4, up till then i knew about Queen, my dad was a massive fan, but was never a true fan.
But i taped Wembley 86, and i'd never seen anything like it before, i was hooked on Queen"
I have lost count more than 100 times, no joke.
