Sorry, but the CD-ROM was not promo, but commercial. It was also released as a promo VHS, but that's another story. |

The copyrights were payed by tv stations, so any one is free to record this or to share... All things are ONLY official when there is a commercial interest to the band, in other words : all the things you can BUY at this moment are official.So a offical greatest hits cd for example. All other things which are not commercially availble are NOT official...So shut up with thoses stupid and ridiculous claimes that things are official...You can share a milton keynes or wwembley show here when it is a tv recording.... even the japan 85 is not commercial availble here in holland, so any one can share a tv broadcast of that one...QUEENP cannot make money of things that are not for sale... So this one is perfectly legal to download... |

Hi Leaky, The cdrom from Heineken was not availble at the free record shop , exclusivly only at the heineken and there for not official. You can share a torrent here from the TV broadcast because it was a public broadcast. (besides that there were no commercial interest for queen for selling this show, only to promote the musical. But you cannot share the content of the cdrom here because that one has copyrights...The same counts for MK you can share the (rtl 5) tv broadcast but not a torrent of which is taken from the official cd. besides that there is a law that you don;t have to pay for the same music twice. So if you own a greatest hits cd you can legally download it from anywhere.... no matter if it are remasters, or excactly the same release as you have bought. Because music is copyrighted for the writer and composer and the distributor only. So in short you can share any public radio or tv broadcast here because the copyrights of those have been payed already by the tv station or radio station. Just for info: many bands have a BV in the Netherlands (bv is same as a LTD or GMbH) which holds the end copyrights of the songs, so most of the world music is registered for it;s copyrights in Holland , because they only have to pay 3% of the profits from the recordings (i;m talking about public broadcating only (mostly radio ,and TV). I believe the tax in UK is above 30% so bands like U2 or chilli peppers do registers those here in Holland. And sorry for my bad english , I only speak Dutch and German....And for those : buy a european law book, they even have the DUMMY editions... |

I don't see why everybody is whining about official releases. There are hundreds of fan mixes shared in de Fan Mixes forum. And that also has copyrighted material. So sharing that (even if it's mixed by a fan) is just as bad as sharing officially released live recordings. But no one seems to have a problem wit the mixes.. |

It's a square. At april 30 we celebrate what we call : QUEENSDAY , it was the birthday of our former Queen Juliana, and her daughter , the nowaday Queen Beatrix declarded that this date should be a national holiday as a tribute to her mother. The whole county has several parties each city has his own bands stages, markets etc. Of cousre the biggest party is always in Amsterdam. The promoter of the event in 2002 were for years whiching that Queen would perform on QUEENSDAY ... and after years trying to get the band the made a deal. The interest for Queen was to promote the WWRY musical... The gig is as always a free gig and Queen played in front of more than 120000 people. Due to the expection of traffic jams, riots and other problems the preformance was kept secret untill the day of the happening. Otherwise too much people would come to Amsterdam (well according to press releases) when it was announced months before the were thinking of huge traffic problems and so on.Besides that and have to say that it was a poor performance, it was a great surprise !! |
