I just wanted to let you guys know that I got married last Friday. I'm very happy and proud to tell you that I have a very loving and low maintenance significant other who didn't have any major issues having a simple ceremony at City Hall in Manhattan. So I'm very happy that I didn't have to put up with one of those scary bridezillas you see on reality TV. I wore a pair of Converse sneakers (new, I'm not that trashy), and she wore a pair of sandals and a summer dress. It was all very simple and quick. We showed our documents and we were told that we couldn't get married without a witness. A nice young lady who came as a witness for her brother was willing to wait and serve as a witness for us. Then we were sent to this room to wait in line, and it was sort of like getting married by a drive-thru. Then when your turn comes, you're told to come inside the chapel and the judge declares you marries, and it just takes a few minutes. All in all, I'm very happy with how all of this turned out. |
