Hello,
was the complete first KYA video released officialy ? I mean the one with the train cartoon.
If it was released officially (complete), then WHERE ?
If it was NOT officially released, is here somebody who wants to share it ?
Yes, that's the official one.
I'm searching for the very first one created by (I think) BBC.
BTW what is this ? link
It looks like a TOTP performance or something
Sure it does, the second one doesn't have your inteligent and usefull reply :)
The fact that we two are searching for completely different songs is not important ?
As taken from queenpedia.com :
-----------------------------------------
On 24th July 1973, 'Keep Yourself Alive' did indeed feature on The Old Grey Whistle Test, together with a piece of stock footage animation from the BBC archives. Needless to say, Trident were soon in touch with the programme's makers to inform them all about Queen.
-------------------------------------------
That's the video I'm searching for. I've seen a couple of seconds long parts in some Queen documentaries, so I asked if it was officially released in a complete form.
The second thread is (I think) about the first video featuring the band.
There a four different video clips to KYA
- the BBC clip mentioned in the quote from Queenpedia. It was done by the BBC and was originally a film made for President Roosevelt's election campaign! It's of course not an official Queen release. It was shown by the BBC because they did not have a Queen promotional clip to the song when they first played it. Parts of this video are shown in "The Magic Years"
- The first promotional clip as in the YouTube clip posted by pittrek. Filmed in the Brewer Street Studios August 19th, 1973. It was never officially released.
- the second promotional video as in the YouTube clip posted by Roxanne. Filmed in the St. Johns Wood Studios October 1st, 1973. It was released on the Box Of Flix and Greatest Video Hits 1
- another video clip created by DoRo from the previous 3 videos and maybe some additional film material for "Queen Rocks - The videos"
Thank you VERY VERY MUCH, YourValentine, the first usefull reply :)
Is there some chance to get the FULL version of the very first BBC-produced video ? I know parts of it are shown in many documentaries, but does anybody here have it complete ?
Thanks again
I don't know if the complete BBC clip survived. I would guess that DoRo have a copy because they used it for Magic Years and for the "Queen Rocks" clip. But it's not a Queen release anyway, just some pictures shown to the song.
It's better to post such questions in the Queen forum rather than the sharing request forum.
As mentionned above
"The first promotional clip as in the YouTube clip posted by pittrek. Filmed in the Brewer Street Studios August 19th, 1973. It was never officially released."

If you don't care much about quality and youtube "quality" is good enough for you, use the same URL, just replace "youtube" with "kissyoutube" and you'll be redirected to a website where you can download the clip.
If you care about quality like I do and you want a better copy, than I can unfortunatelly only wish you good luck with your search.
