I think that queenzone as a group should make a documentary on one of queen's albums, somthing with footage of fans aswell as live footage and rare photos. I am leaning toward NOTW or SHA because they would be easy to compile into a documentary. ANATO and AKOM already have been covered to the point that people are getting sick of it. Miracle, Innuendo, and MIH would be very small due to lack of live performances. I propose that we vote on the remaining albums to decide what to work with. god knows we have enough unofficial material to get any of the remaining albums into an hour long work. I would be willing to be the compiler of the footage.
so the candidates are:
Queen
Queen II
Sheer Heart Attack
A Day At The Races
News Of The World
Jazz
The Game
Hot Space
The Works
my vote goes to SHA. with my second choice being NOTW.
once this is all said and done, perhaps we could do another album or artist.
Well, my vote would have to be A Day at the Races! There is not enough said about the album, and often do I find myself pondering upon why wasn't it considered such a magnicent album? It certainly, without a doubt in my mind, was an album of great measures, an album that has such beautiful transitions between each track! It's not connected track by track of couse, but there is this thing that excites me everytime I give it my up most attention and expectation as it were.
However, this idea of a documentary compiled by Queenzoners has been thought up before, and to my knowledge they were never completed. It seems nearly impossible to compile such a video through the contacts you meet on the internet, then again that's just me. Have fun with it my friend. You heard my vote and I'd love to see it finished!
Cheers!!!
the difference is that the times that it was suggested before, youtube wasn't quite as popular, so noone had anyway to share vids. I think that what we need to finish this, is that Redmond, WA touch (by which I mean the help of techies)
That may be true, but it wasn't long ago that this idea sprung out of nowhere. Unfortunatly I don't believe it was finished. Either way I support your ambition to create a documentary. :)
I would say Queen + Paul Rodgers Return Of The Champions, using footage from the 46664 concert, ROTC DVD, SLIJ DVD,ET Interviews, BBC Rehersal Footage,UK Hall of Fame DVD,VH1 Rock Honours DVD,Back Stage In Budapset DVD and any other pro shot footage and interviews

eh... no thanks, I would perfer not to be arrested for piracy.
If I had enough material I would be able to put it all together. I've already did a few documentary's for various clients.
But you'd have to get someone who has great knowledge of Queen's history to overlook the whole project.
okay, since I am leading this, and no 2 people voted the same, the answer is...
SHA
though to be honest, since this is pretty much gonna be a live compilation, most of the albums could be made. the next thing to do is find out what tracks were played live from this album.
Killer Queen
Brighton Rock
Now I'm Here
lap of the gods
please expand this list!
If you pick SHA, the live of 1974 at the Rainbow cannot be ignored. Sound and video are really nice.
Procession
Now I'm here
Ogre Battle
White Queen
Lap of the gods
Killer Queen
March of the Black Queen
Bring back that Leroy Brown
Son and daughter (1)
Father to son
Keeo yourself alive
Liar
Son and daughter (2)
Stone Cold crazy
Lap of the gods (revisited)
Jailhouse rock
Really? I didn't know...I've seen that live on video, didn't sound anything like the studio version...or were the songs re-recorded?
It's a shame, but still good video!
Elizabeth,
No - the audio of the "released" version of Live At The Rainbow featured track after track of overdubbed backing vocals. This was present at the theatrical release (which was shown before screenings of Led Zeppelin's The Song Remains The Same) and also, sadly, the Box Of Tricks version.
It's not known whether the vaults contain the complete, unedited audio and visual record.
