When will you STOP?? listening to Queen. Is there a time to just stop listening? The band has been dead since 1991. How many more times can you listen to Bohemian Rhapsody? LOL Will we still be listening to Queen when we are old? Are we going to be in a rocking chair on some porch when we are 70, rocking away to Queen? LOL Will you? |
Sweetie 19.04.2007 04:36 |
well, I will...if I last to 70... but by then I will most likely be blind, deaf, even more dumber-a and just...full of diseases... |

Because all things have to end at some point. I think I will always be a "fan" of Queen, even into old age but I've already stopped listening on a daily basis to their music. But I'm still a fan of Queen and interested in all things related to Queen. I wonder if Queen fans of Queen's generation, who will be roughly around Brian, Roger, and John's age still listen to the music. |

Never, I think. Their music heals my spirit in its own small way, so I hope that as I grow older it will keep helping me through whatever life throws at me, just as it has done this far. But I don't listen to it all the time, nor for long each time: usually just a handful of songs every few days. |

Queen was my first "real" band i enjoyed when i was around 13. Freddie's death was on tely all the time, so I bought myself GH1. Shortly after that, Queen become a real opsession, I bought all the albums & vids and couldn't survive any day without their music. Around 14-16, I had a very hard time in my life and Queen was(nearly) the only thing i enjoyed. At the time of 17, i started collecting all kinds of rock music, mostly Heavy Metal, progressive... I had stopped listening to Queen, mostly because their music reminds me a those unhappy times. After nearly 10 years, I re-discovered my old "Rare Live" tape, and it reminded me when i was watching this tape as a kid, dreaming of getting all those concerts un-edited! After collecting 3000+ records of all kinds of rock music, i started listening to them again, now with some more "skilled" ears, and I even love them more & more everyday! Fortunatly, I found QZ, and after 3 month i got more stuff from Queen that I could dreamed of! (Including all that stuff featured on "Live Crap" - Childhood dreams come true!) Queen inspired me in so many ways, their musical class, songwriting and their abbility to make every album different from the previous one. They are a lot of great Rock Bands out there, but Queen will always be in my top 3! (besides Rush & Deep Purple ;-) |

I won't stop, no one can make me stop. I'm gonna be in my rocking chair with my out dated ipod listening to Queen. |

SomebodyWhoLoves wrote: Because all things have to end at some point.no they don't...if you have a varied enough music taste. it goes with most things in life we grow into things and grow out of things, then we can always come back....one thing i like is going back to albums (cds to the younger listerners) and discovering them again...hearing stuff on re-pressings of old albums...this is especially true of old beatles stuff - abbey road sounds different each time i go back to it, change of equipment and a different mastering changes the dynamics also going back to bands when you haven't heard any of their stuff in ages is a revelation, and it's like finding a favourite old t-shirt all over.....one band like that for me is UFO SomebodyWhoLoves wrote: I wonder if Queen fans of Queen's generation, who will be roughly around Brian, Roger, and John's age still listen to the music.i am 45 (almost - hope you noted the "almost", Janet)...and i got into queen early on - 1974...so they were with me through my formative years when i really started to discover music. i was lucky enough to see them live 5 times on four separate tours...and right now i listen to bits of it, my old faves will always be there - queen i and queen II. occasionally i get the other cds out and give em a blast, but mainly for me these days it's the public airing of stuff like houston and demos etc... but those things will eventually run dry |

When I stop liking music....oddly, I wouldn't expect this to happen at all. I love music, and can't envisage a time when the Ballroom Blitz intro doesn't make me start nodding my head. |

Queen got me into other types of music, so I haven't listened to them for months. |

Why would I stop listenning to queen if I get old.... Beatles still listen to elvis, Beatles, L armstrong.. People still play the music that mozart and bach wrote long time ago.... Good music will always have their listeners... and why would I stop... |
Legy 19.04.2007 18:40 |
When will people stop listening to Mozart? Or the Beatles? Classic music never dies! I think I'll never stop listening to Queen. NEVER! |

I'm never ever gonna stop listening to Queen! Even though I have a very short attention span and I tire of things quickly, I don't think I could ever get tired of listening to them. I could only listen to them (and maybe the Beatles :P) for the rest of my life and I would be a perfectly content person. :D I LOVE QUEEN! :D |

I haven't been listening to Queen "a lot" recently. But I still listen when I feel like it - and "A Day at the Races" is my favourite "sing-a-long" CD at the moment. I just think I have stopped being psycho-obsessive. |
JoxerTheDeityPirate 21.04.2007 15:22 |
i dont have to dig into my collection to listen to a Queen song.they just seem to follow me around, like if i pop into the pub for a pint DSMN seems to come on the jukebox or if im in the local shop IGSM is playing.their songs just seem to be THERE the whole time no matter where i am and not just the hits.. not complaining though |

Nver. I still listen to other music but Queen will ALWAYS be part of my collection. The day I stop listening to Queen will be the day Brian gives the red special to Me, Roger Taylor starts hating the drums, and John Deacon trys to re-join Queen. (also known as NEVER) |
