hello.
i want to know something about mother love.
where was it recorded.
why was it recorded.
and when?.
and are there any picture of queen at work during made in heaven?.
greetz innuendo 1991
Where: I'm pretty sure it was recorded in Mountain Studios in Switzerland.
Why: Freddie was pretty ill at this point and the physical strains of travelling to the houses of fans who wanted to hear the song would have killed him a lot sooner not to mention the expense. I can only assume that recording the track, thus allowing fans to listen to it at their leisure, made both medical and financial sense.
When: Some time before November 1991.
As for photographs of the band recording Mother Love, I don't really know.
Hope this helps.
fatty.
It was recorded in montreux at mountain studios in 1991 between apr/nov 1991 and it was recorded because freddie was still writing even though he was very, very ill and i suppose freddie felt like he was wanting something from a relationship.
As for photos from the sessions it would be great if there were a few but if near the end of his life i would personally not want to see them, i'd rather remember him as he was anything after that would be horrible to witness.
Funny thing i just listened to the first four songs on MIH and i finished on mother love.
cheers davidbrendam.

Die, please. If you don't know what you're on about, shut up.
Freddie wasn't able to move much after May '91. This was recorded early spring '91 if memory serves, but I'm not entirely sure, it could've been a little earlier.

Finally, someone has started to talk some sense! I remember some moron who posted in another thread that Freddie recorded his last take of "Too Much Love Will Kill You" two weeks before he died and mystified him as some kind of omnipotent demi-god who could do anything. I doubted it from the start.
Freddie was extraordinary, but you guys(those who do, that is) don't have to make up stories about his impossible feats to immortalize him as something wayyyyyy out of the ordinary...
