Was it with Elton John and Brian&Roger singing "The Show Must Go On" in Paris? I heard his last performance was in 1997 at an AIDS charity event, but I'm just wondering.
Thanks!
John has lived a life more away of the sceen...after doing the MADE IN HEAVEN cd, and the tributes show's ect....for him no Freddie, no queen possible...Freddie allways motivated and push John to contribute to the band.
i respect his choise, this low profil man did more than he would of believed in rock and roll...but...no Freddie, no true Queen. and he's right !

Don't you mean his appearance at the SAS Band gig in London in 1995? I really don't think he played with the SAS Band after the Bejart Ballet premiere.

So totally right about that.
John respects Freddie so much. And i think he took Freddie´s death the most hardest in the group. In everyway.
Really don´t know.
But I´m hoping everyday that John would come back to Queen and kick´s off the shitful Paul Rodgers and they would make songs with Roger´s and Brian´s vocals.
Elton John sings it so low... what's the key ? A fifth below Freddie's ??
John D is missing in the new version of Smile.
For me Queen without Freddie (and without John) is called Smile. When Tim Staffel will rejoin the band ? ;)

I think that even if Freddie had not been ill, John probably would have quit the band at some point in the late 80's.
But I have no way of proving this. I'll ask John next time I visit him; see what he has to say about it.
"I'll ask John next time I visit him; see what he has to say about it."
Well that's easy, he'll say something like "I have no plans" or "I was on holiday" or "pass the tea".
