Somebody knows if someday Queen will publish the concert of the Tribute of Freddie COMPLETE? I think that with BlueRay and DVD-HD the quality of this concert can be very good. Thanks. |

Thanks.Unfortunately, good technology can't fix Robert Plant's butchering of Innuendo. The edited version might be a better historical document than showing the whole thing, warts and all. |

It wont be complete because like other naff shows or should i say performances where bands come out to play live for the 1st time in years ala Def Leppard they handnt played live since 1988 (Steve Clark dying didnt help) hence when the double vhs version was released their only track was Now I'm Here (with Brian)once they were warmed up omitting Animal & Let's Get Rocked |

I enjoyed the whole show, but from a proefessional point of view, Robert Plant forgetting the lyrics was extremely poor. I can understand how singers can forget words during a 'full set', Freddie did it a few times, but Mr Plant only had two songs to learn. Is it just coincidence that his efforts on Live Aid were ommited from the offical DVD?....he went on to blame Phil Collins for thier poor performance that day! |

The quality of Innuendo by Robert Plant in cd of Thankyou Freddie it's very good but the studio version is 1000 times better. It's the only time that they have played it, isn't it? Now they could play it with Paul? Really I think that it's so sad that this Concert, one of the most important rock concert of the history (only lack Freddie), it is not available complete in digital format. |

Plant did a brilliant take on Innuendo - combining it with the lyrics from Kashmir was absolute genius! His version of CLTCL however was awful. Why he needed to sing it as "Kwazy little thing...." is beyond me. The two bands I though brought life to the first part were Metallica and Extreme. Def Leppard sounded horrible with their comedy, one-armed, electronically procesed drummer. GnR were OK-ish, but Axl Rose tok himself FAR too seriously. Absolute highlight of the day was when Tony Iomi walked on and he and Brian riffed. THEN Brian played a few bars of Pinball Wizard to introduce Roger Daltrey - superb! |

Sorry, but I think that the remark about Def Leppard's drummer is completely uncalled for. It takes a very brave man to play drums with one arm and even more so to do it professionally. Even with one arm he's still one of the best drummers out there and you have to give him that. As far as Robert Plant goes, I don't think that he forgot the lyrics - he simply came in the song at the wrong time and got a bit confused in the beginning, but he more than made up for it later in his set. His performance was probably the most emotional of the night and it still moves me deeply. Kes on QOL tried to explain why Plant's performance was left off the VHS and DVD releases. The thing is that the guy is universally acknowledged as one of the best singers the UK has ever had, and here he is singing someone else's song and Freddie sang it better than he can. And about "Innuendo" being performed on Q+PR concerts, I do seem to remember that in the early stages of planning the tour, Paul had mentioned that he would love to do the song live. Hopefully they're saving it for the next tour. I think that the song would suit Paul and I personally can't wait to hear it. Best wishes, Vlad |

What I read and saw in interviews, Plant said something like, "Why couldn't we have gotten it (reunion) right in front of 50 million people? Someone handed Pagey his guitar straight out of the case out of tune and my voice was shot after three days on the trot. By the time we finished rehearsals earlier in the afternoon, my voice was long gone." |

Plant sounded worn out at Live Aid. It's a damn shame, because as always there are tiny moments when you *know* he'd be able to do it, given better circumstances. Same goes for Innuendo. There's parts later in the song where he's beginning to sound warmed up. What a bummer! Plant + Innuendo... on paper, its the best idea ever. I still think Daltrey was best in show. |

I can only see the WWRY concert film and Live in Budapest film from benefiting from a 'high def' release and possibly some promos if any original fil/ngeatives still exist. I'd love to see the two above concerts in HD. Not sure who owns the rights to these now, if it's QP then forget it, they've probably never even heard of 'high def DVD' |

For people like Plant, artistic integrity is more valuable than money. Therefore without legal approval - end of story. Certainly in Robert Plant's lifetime. It is NOT a coincidence that the Page/Plant section of 'Live Aid' was excised - as this too was witheld. In the words of Lennon/McCartney 'Think For Yourself'. |

For the American concert Bob Geldof just went for the MTV tapes wich gladilly weren´t erased (some people just have no sense of Hystory at all- to erase such an event!!!). I allways found it strange that the Zep reunion wasn´t "found" but i never thought it was because Plant/Page didn´t want it! Take care |

Bobby, re: >>I allways thought that All the performances found were released, and acording to the booklet from the DVD all the missing performances weren´t found anywhere, since they were erased from the original tapes. A handy "get-out" that was used by certain artists so that dhey didn't appear to be "prescious" about their performances not being up to scratch. Even with one arm he's still one of the best drummers out there and you have to give him that. Why? In my opinion he's absolutely effing useless and has the worst live drum sound in history. And THAT'S marginally in front of Roger Taylor in 1985 - all processed and mechanical - you can't tell the snares from the toms and the cymbals sound like running water. He's been kept on with Leppard out of pity - what else is he going to do? |

Everything´s fine, but... 2- Don´t want to reharse. Now, i wonder why things go wrong for him when he performs live... Take care |

What was their reasoning? Surely not "artistic integrity"? If memory serves, 1992 also saw several other Tap-related releases, so why did they refuse inclusion in a Tribute Concert release? I always assumed it was QP that didn't want to include them, and not the other way around. |

Whoever the CUNT is who had a go at Rick Allen, your a complete FUCKING CUNT. Def Leppard may not make "new ground breaking records etc" but they have more balls than every other band you care to mention. He is a very courageous guy for carrying on, & the band are for carrying on when Steve Clark died. Anotherpoint FUCKWIT Rick can also play acoustic drums listen to the Slang Album or the unplugged stuff around the same time, when they set a world record for playing 5 gigs in 5 continets on the same day circa 1996. One pissed off drummer |

MaxPower, re >>Whoever the CUNT is who had a go at Rick Allen, your a complete FUCKING CUNT. That'll be me then. Interesting that you even have to appear to shout by using capitals as emphasis. You're not Peter Cook or Dudley Moore re-incarnated are you by any chance? >>Def Leppard may not make "new ground breaking records etc" Interesting statement of the bleeding obvious straight up, but keep going...... >>but they have more balls than every other band you care to mention. More balls? What is that exactly? An additional testicle per member? Or maybe Joe Elliott has four and the rest of them three each........... >>He is a very courageous guy for carrying on, & the band are for carrying on when Steve Clark died. That wasn't my point, was it, if you cared to read the post properly. I think he's a crap drummer BECAUSE of the disability and that his sound is, as a result, similarly impared to the point that he'd be better replaced with a drum machine. >>Anotherpoint FUCKWIT More shouting, swearing and emphasising - lovely. >>Rick can also play acoustic drums listen to the Slang Album or the unplugged stuff around the same time, when they set a world record for playing 5 gigs in 5 continets on the same day circa 1996. One pissed off drummer Isn't he a clever boy then? Are you a Lep fan then? Would never have guesses if you hadn't educated me about the 5 gig thing. No, just for you and because, judging by your amazing control of the English language you appear to be a touch "challenged", here's something you may relate to: The Sprickly-Sprock says "Tickly-Tock" Every Afternoon Around about three, then it's time for tea So he takes out his time-for-tea spoon His time-for-tea fork and his time-for-tea knife And he turns to his sprickly time-for-tea wife And says "Yummy! There's a space in my tummy That's just the right size For French mustard, Sliced ham, creamy custard And two apple pies. He runs twice round the table as fast as he's able Then jumps and flies through the air. He goes head over heels, claps his hands then he squeals And lands with a bump in his chair. He counts up to ten using slices of bread Licks his lips slowly and scratches his head. Now he's ready. He holds his hands steady Then grabs at the food And he eats it all urp, With a slurp and a burp. Pardon him for being sprickly rude |
