I put this thread in serious discussion in the hopes that I'd get a serious answer. I'm hoping for the likes of Lester Burnham to settle this... I saw a thread on here the other day in regards to John Deacon's new album, "Aligators Don't Live Under The Bed". This CD is clearly by SOMEONE named John Deacon, but I'm thinking it's not Queen's John Deacon. He is, after all, retired. My question is this: What has John Deacon actually released as a solo effort? Am I correct in assuming that "Alligators Don't Live Under The Bed" has nothing to do with John Deacon, Queen bassist? |

John Richard Deacon: The one from Queen John William Deacon: link (his new CD is the "Alligators..." one) Hope that cleared some things up. |

I've been at Jeff Lynne's studio all weekend doing the 5.1 mix of Hiding in Public. I've got to say, it's been pretty interesting... we had a throat singer do a whistly sound that wanders around the listener in "All He Gave Me (Was Tinnitus)". There's a good crunchy guitar sound on "Bald" that I'm pretty proud of... but I don't want to spoil anything else, this 5.1 mix has to be heard to be believed! |

One thing is for sure, one of the standout tracks is the instrumental, "Smooth". When he was working on the song in the studio, I asked him gingerly what the tune was about, and he merely pointed solemnly at his head, and went back to work. He's an inspiring guy. |

This CD wasn't made by our John, but by someone else with the same name. He did have a solo effort with the group, The Immortals, and did they did the music for the movie "Biggles". Also, he did help out with other artists such as our own Roger Taylor, Brian May, and Freddie Mercury. He also worked with Anita Dobson, Elton John, Morris Minor and the Majors, and others. If you would like to know more, go to Deaky.com. That should give you all the information you want to know about Deaky's solo work. ;-) |

Fake information and fake track list. It's real tracklist. link Rock it, are you really sure that the members of this forum are "fools of the first division"? |
mrjordy 06.12.2006 18:35 |
ROCK IT: As Miriam has pointed out, your tracklisting is completely fake. Combining the information that some of you were kind enough to share on here, I am happy to provide the definitive answer to my own question (which was the topic/first post to this thread): John Deacon, singer/songwriter with the "Alligators Don't Live Under The Bed" album is NOT John Deacon, Queen bassist. Two completely different people with the same name. The "Alligators..." artist lives in Massachusetts, within the United States and seems to be a regional artist. On the other hand, Queen's John Deacon is a international celebrity and is above and beyond posting recordings on cdbaby.com. So, kids, there is no "Alright Now (I Don't Think So)" by John Deacon, although that is a very creative ficticious title which of course eludes to Q+PR's "Alright Now" live version found in any of their concerts. |

Let me clear this once and for all!!(you're Queen Fans?) YES, it's pretty obvious that it's a joke, just like "Man in Shadows", "Hiding in Public" and "Another Time Another Place" etc. But why do you get so serious about it? Take a look at the tracklisting, do you have any kind of HUMOR people, some do, i know(see this thread: link FAKE!!! Tracklisting: "Alligators Don't Live Under The Bed" 1. Another Me (after coping with Freddie's death) 2. Day Dreams (what does he do all day?) 3. Motown Blues(with Errol Brown) (his love for diso) 4. Hookers (we'll look at the response "lapdance") 5. Boy-Bands (5ive.....) 6. RW Bad Impostor (Robbie W...) 7. Who am I (i don't know who you are anymore) 8. Mercury Times (the good times in the past) 9. When it's over, it's over!! (1991 that's it) 10. All Right Now(i don't think so)(John's opinion on QPR) 11. Where Am I (where's John these days?) Bonus: 1. Sell Out (we will rock you, greatest hits 4 etc.) 2. Typical Christmas (every Christmas a Queen production!! except this year maybe..) 3. Motown Blues(RTBM-mix) (Roger T./Brian M. mix i can imagine the lyrics of this one, seeing the above) I don't know why I'm explaining all this but I've already typed it. And if you want to know what John really did solo take a look at this site/URL: link + "No one but you" and "TSMGO" with Elton i think(correct this please if I'm wrong before....we go again!!) |
