Why not? The topic is related to Queen, the link being that STL is in fact a Queen song! This is the section where Queen is discussed in a non-serious manner so I think this topic is fine here. I thought his rendition of the song was very good indeed. Phenomenally brave performance and I think he's a very good singer. He did pull it off! |

Hmm.. Isn't there already a topic about this? Meh. Well.. I thought it was good, he did it in a somewhat.. unexpected way, but it was original. Personally, I think it would've been better with music, but, who am I to judge? The strange thing about him is he's got this really amazing rocky singing voice.. but his speaking voice sounds kind of, er, well.. gay. OK I'm sorry if you're profoundly deaf, but I can't see why that affects your typing. Ben's performance of STL was the best performance of the night. It was a brave one and I think he did quite well. Ray's version of My Way and the McDonald Bros were just embarassing and I don't like the girl. Great voice, but she's really a one trick-pony. |

so your saying deaf people not allow to watch x factor and wake up madam we are in the future 2006 not 1945 there is tech things that helps the deaf or any disablty people SUBTITLED LOOPS SYSTEMS alsort of machines that helps us to learn to hear and read your 1 of those people that know nothing and for other infomation spelling does affect deaf people seeing u can hear the WORDS we cant so if you dont know nothing then dont say no more look up the RNID site informations are there |

I see. Now, forgive me if I'm wrong but when somebody announces themselves as 'profoundly deaf' it usually means they are totally deaf, which is why I was confused. Now explain to me, I'm interested, seeing as I do know nothing about being deaf, tell me, how you do watch a television program like 'The X Factor' because it's a program very much focused on how well people sing and I'd be interested to know how a totally deaf person would be able to listen it. So being deaf stops you from using apostrophes? you say that word apostrophes I have no idea what that mean ? and no worries as most people dont know and i am not saying it their fault it noone but when u see comments and it dont sound normal to u or anyone it might be cos of they way they type not for fun it cant be helps i am not letting people or Queen stopping me enjoying music there are ways we enjoy it :) |

I missed it last night but i saw the posts on here that he did somebody to love so i watched the repeat today. i didnt think his voice suited the song at all and i thought he was rubbish. i dont know how anyone can say it was better than George Michael's version. at least George hit that high note and Ben couldnt. he let the choir take it. The 3 judges loved it and a few people who posted on here so maybe its just me but i thought it was pretty bad. |

I've liked a lot of Ben's songs, but this just highlighted that stupid growl in his voice when he goes for high notes. And I agree that the choir did a lot of the work. Btw, whoever said that George Michael's was less than Ben..? Get the cloth out of your ears!! I just can't imagine anyone really meaning that cause it's so weird. And also, to the person who said Leona is a one-trick pony? Heck, what does that say about Ben? If you don't like someone, just say that instead of some know-nothing comment. One-trick pony?! HAH! I was sitting working away with Leona singing in the background and I looked up to watch because I thought she really captured something in what she was doing. Just sounded brilliant. I can't explain, except to say that her performance just felt spot on. Nothing to need looked at. Even Ray with his 2nd song managed to make me think he really fought his corner. But Ben..? Well, I dunno. I thought his stuff was just good and not great. Shame, cause he's had great stuff before. And my god, a real rock voice for the UK?! lol No, no, he is not that.
